Walking into his classroom, I noticed I was one of the first to arrive, with only two other students seated at this point. Damien wasn't there yet, so I took this opportunity to admire his choice of decoration. I could tell he wasn't entirely settled in yet, but he'd already put up some photos of himself and what I assumed to be family, as well as a map of the world, seemingly marking off all the places he's traveled to. Australia, a good part of Europe, and parts of Africa and South Asia were shaded in. I noticed North America was left blank, and I couldn't help but think how much I'd love to show him around the States. Before I started to draw too much attention to myself, I took a seat at the front, nearest to his desk of course. After a few minutes of waiting, most of the students had piled in, Kennedy coming in last and having to snag a seat in the back row. Finally, Mr. Maddox walked in, dressed to impress in a perfectly tailored Armani suit with a Rolex fitted on his left wrist. He looked handsome as ever, smiling widely as he began to greet the class.

"Good afternoon, students. As you probably know by now, I'm Mr. Maddox and I will be taking over this year in replacement of Ms. Bennet while she is out on maternity leave. I'd like to start by saying you have an exceptionally beautiful campus and that I'm very excited to introduce you all to some of the finest literary works in British Literature, as well as how to hone in on your writing skills as we work on revising college essays."

As he spoke more about the curriculum planned for this semester, my mind couldn't help but to drift off to our brief encounter in the garden last night and then again in the hallway outside my dorm this morning. My cheeks flushed slightly as I recalled our hands touching, his calluses rough against my smooth skin. I was pulled away from my thoughts when he asked,

"Any questions?" he raised an eyebrow and looked around the room.

Kennedy's hand shot up immediately, as did lots of the other girls'. I shook my head slightly, bracing for the embarrassment of her oncoming question before she even spoke.

"Tell us a little bit about yourself. You know, how you grew up, why you've traveled so much, are you single..." she quickly added in the last bit of her sentence as the class giggled at her shamelessness.

Surprisingly, Damien obliged, letting out a slight chuckle. "Well, I grew up in Manchester, I have a brother and sister who are slightly older than me, and I traveled around a lot because my father was in the military. And to answer your last question, yes, I am single, however, I don't think that concerns any of you." he smiled politely.

"And how old are you?" I chimed in with confidence, feeling I had nothing left to lose after our embarrassing encounter earlier.

He looked at me with his piercing eyes and smirked before saying, "I'm twenty-eight, Miss. Wentworth. Will that be all?"

I nodded in satisfaction. While the first day in his class was somewhat uneventful like my other courses, it had already become my favorite, merely due to his presence. I knew it was rather absurd to pine after someone ten years my senior, who also happens to be my teacher, but a little fun couldn't hurt, right? After all, I was eighteen, no longer a minor, so the only thing "illegal" thing about this was his position of authority over me, which I, in fact, found incredibly sexy. As the bell rang, signaling the end of class, Mr. Maddox spoke up.
