A few months later

Kunti's P.O.V.

I was on the balcony waiting for Aray tearing up I felt Didi put her hand on my shoulder

"Waiting is something every Maharani is destined for, Kunti. Turn your wait into meditation. Not mourning." said Didi I took her hand

"Forgive me, Didi. I do not wish to cause all of you pain with my behaviour." I said

"So why have you ceased eating?" asked Didi calmly

"What else can I do, Didi? Earlier, we would get messages through the beating of drums. But now we are not getting any messages from the battlefield." I said

"No messages being conveyed mean only one thing, Kunti. That they have no good news to convey yet. But at least there is an assurance." said Didi

"But my ears... are craving to hear the drums, Didi." I said

"We will get a message. And it shall surely be good news. I have complete faith in Pandu." said Didi, we heard the beating of drums I ran to the court Vidur opened a scroll read it and put the scroll away

"There is good news, Rajmata. King Pandu has defeated his enemies in the war." said Vidur I smiled

"I had faith that in the first war itself Pandu will achieve victory." said Rajmata, I smiled

"Without any controversy, he has proved himself as an emperor. Organise a celebration in the nager. Nothing should be lacking in the welcome ceremony." said Rajmata I nodded Didi held my hand

"The period of your happiness has started, Kunti. On the very first day of marriage if a pati goes far away I can understand how miserable a wife feels. I can understand how miserable a patni feels." said said

"I have no sorrow, Didi. The first and foremost right of a king is on his throne. To be at the second place I don't have any objection. I said shaking my head

"Never say that, Kunti. When a pati doesn't pay attention to his patni her life becomes miserable. I wish, you always be your pati's priority. Now it's time to decorate your chamber again." said Didi I smiled

"Dasi!" called Didi

"Yes, kumari?" asked a dasi

"Dasi, go with the other Dasiya and decorate the king's chamber in the best manner." said Didi an arrow landed at Vidur's feet the arrow looked so familiar it had a paper rolled on it. Vidur took the paper and read it

"After the news of victory, what other news can there be?" asked Rajmata

"Is there any...bad news, Vidur?" asked Tatshree

"No, Tatshree. The news is not bad but..." trailed Vidur

"What's the news, Vidur?" I asked

"Maharani, this is not Bhratashree Pandu's handwriting so it may be a lie." said Vidur looking tensed

"Vidur it is fine. What's the news?" I asked

"The news is we, Arthat, Maharaj Pandu helped the province Madra and protected it from a fierce war. Subsequently, Madra raj requested Maharaj Pandu... He must... He must have requested. To refrain His Majesty from refusing he must have requested in a way that-"

"Vidur." Rajmata interrupted Vidur

"be clear about what you wish to say." she said

"Rajmata, Madra raj has made Maharaj Pandu his jmata." said Vidur, I smiled in joy
