In Hastinapur

Kunti's P.O.V.

We walked to the geats of the court there was a celebration going on

"What is the celebration about, Didi?" asked Madri in a whisper

"How am I suppose to know, Madri?" I asked in a whisper evryone noticed us entering the court

"You have arrived on a very auspicious occasion, Maharaj." said Vidur, Jyeshtshree turned around

"Pranipat, Rajmata." we greeted

"Welcome, Pandu. You came very soon, but came on a very favourable occasion. Look at the games played by time. To be a part of a happy event in our kul you have returned before time. Ghandari garbhvati hai" said Rajmata Madri and I smiled in joy and looked at Didi Ghandari

"Dhritarashtr's first putra will be born very soon." said Rajmata, Aray looked at Jyeshtshree and looked down sadly

"Pandu, You have understood the news, right? You don't look pleased at all." said Rajmata

"Yes, Rajmata Just like grief, happiness also stops the brain from functioning at times. I am extremely happy, Jyesht." said Aray

"my hearty congratulations to you, Jyesht." he said Jyeshtshree spread his arms asking Aray to hug him Aray hugged him Aray looked at the throne he walked up the stairs to the throne he was going to sit but he stopped

"I have to announce something important, Rajmata." said Aray, Rajmata nodded

"Maharishi Kindam died at my hands in the forest." Aray we all looked at him stunned

"I'm no longer worthy of ruling a Rajya, Rajmata." he said, Madri and I exchanged horrified looks

"So, I have decided that from this very moment I renounce the throne of Hastinapur!" said Aray evryone was struck

"Pandu!" yelled Rajmata evryone looked at her

"Bhishma and I have waited for twenty six years for the throne of Hastinapur to have a worthy Maharaj. And when finally the throne has one worthy Maharaj like you, you are talking about renouncing the throne of Hastinapur.?" said Rajmata

"Yes, Rajmata." said Aray he removed the crown put it on the throne

"I have decided sanyas." he said and left the court, Madri and I exchanged looks again

"Now we know what was bothering Aray throughout the journey, Didi." said Madri

"We have to talk to Aray." I said, Madri and I left the court. We were walking down the hallway

"Why didn't Aray tell us before?" asked Madri

"He didn't want us worrying." I said

"But we are worrying now." said Madri as we reached Aray's chamber we opened the doors we saw Aray sitting on a throne with his hand on his head

"Aray." Madri and I called in unison

"I have made my decision. So, don't try changing it." said Aray, Madri and I exchanged looks

"What's the situation for us to accept a life in sanyas?!" asked Madri we looked at her

"The sin of killing the rishi was done unintentionally, wasn't it?" she asked

"This is not the punishment of the sin, Madri but of being unaware. If a raja starts committing crimes unintentionally justice and peace can never prevail in the Rajya. You both stopped me from killing the mrig, but I didn't listen I should have given that thought then." said Aray

"But how is it necessary for us to bear the harshness of sanyas?" I asked

"Try to accept that the mistake has been made." said Aray

"I do accept. We have made a mistake but the results will have to be borne by our Santan (children) who have not even come into this world yet." said Madri I looked at her

"If they take birth in the forest they will be left wanting of their right over the throne." she said

"Madri," I called, Madri looked at me

"the ones who haven't been born as of yet, why plan for their future? Whatever they will be destined to will be their fate. In the Kuru vansh, it's not right but worthiness that has the upper hand, Madri." I said

"But-"

"You both can never bear putra!" Aray interrupted Madri, we looked at him stunned, he stood up

"Tatpary, Aray?" I asked, he stood up and walked to us

"Maharishi Kindam nai pran tyagtehue muje ye shrap diya tha ki..." Aray paused Madri and I exchanged horrified looks

"ki yadi mai kisi stri ke sath vivahit sambandh sthapith karunga tho mere mrithyu ho jayegi." said Aray

"This is the reason why I have decided to go into sanyas." said Aray, Madri and I waked to him

"We'll also come along with you, Aray." I said

"No, Kunti. The harshness of exile is not meant for you two. You both will stay here in the rajbhavan." said Aray, I smiled

"Without a pati then the rajbhavan too seems to be like a forest," I paused looked at Madri she walked to us

"and if the pati is beside one, even the hut in a forest equates a rajbhavan." Madri finished my sentence

"We have come to Hastinapur along with you and I shall go along wherever you go, Aray." I said, Madri nodded

"It will be a place devoid of comforts. Only hard work would be in your destiny." said Aray

"The crime was done by the three of us so is the state we are in and thus will be the atonement done by us." said Madri, I nodded

"Aray, make the arrangements for the journey." I said

"Madri," I called, Madri looked at me

"We must get ready for the journey." I said I should tell Aray about the varadan I received from Maharishi Durvasa. I thought

"What is it, Didi?" asked Madri I shook my head coning back two my sences

"Nothing, Madri." I said
