I rushed to her side along with Leo, he placed one hand against her head and said she was burning up.
He told me to quickly get some cold water as he lifted her up. I returned a little later and headed
upstairs with the water, she was lay on her bed with Leo and Lyna beside her, Leo dipped a cloth into
the water before placing it on her head, I asked what was up with her and he said "She's gotten a bit of a
fever, my guess is that she's been overworking herself..." I sighed as the guilt built up, I could've been
helping more but instead I've been doing nothing... Leo seemed to of known what I was thinking
because he said "You know? I don't know her very well but... She doesn't seem like the type of person to
ask for help... So erm...? You have no reason to feel so guilty...? I don't know if this makes sense... I'm
not really a people person..." I looked towards him and replied with "Really? The way you acted with
Lyna kind of said otherwise." He looked down, his face solemn and hands clenched into fists, I pushed
forward because I wanted to know, and he said "Please...? I don't want to talk about it..." He looked
back towards Sam, and I left with Lyna to get her fed and in bed. I woke the following morning and when
I peeked into Sam's room, I saw Leo sleeping on the chair beside her bed, I went downstairs and began
making breakfast, by the time I finished Lyna came down, after breakfast me and Lyna went out to
water the plants, the sun was shining brightly, and it wasn't too windy so I thought maybe if Sam was
feeling better, we all could go for a picnic today. It was then I heard a crash come from Sam's room so I
rushed inside and upstairs to find Leo helping Sam up off the floor saying "You should never approach a
sleeping thief that's rule number one." she sighed before saying "I wouldn't of approached a sleeping thief if he had covered himself up so he wasn't freezing, anyway what idiot brings a knife into someone
else's home...? Talk about the move of a psychopath." He tried to say something back in protest but
instead he thought about it and said "You're right, I'm sorry..." Sam smiled also apologized for scaring
him before giving him the cover and saying "You can use the bed, you seriously need it." He stopped her
as she was walking off and placed his hand on her forehead before sighing in relief and saying "Good...
Your fever has gone down... Think I'll except the bed, it seems more comfortable than the chair..." he
flopped down on the bed with the blanket as Sam headed towards me and closed the door before
heading downstairs. She had something quick to eat before going outside, I called out to her and she
said, "I'm just going to tell Geoffrey where his kid is, he's probably worried." She waved as she left with
her cloak draped over her shoulder. She arrived back with a paper scrolled up in hand followed by
Geoffrey not even an hour later, Leo came down and when he saw them, he said "Let me guess? He's,
my rival? Couldn't it be someone better?" Sam just ignored him while Geoffrey scowled, Sam then
spread the paper she had on the table. It was a poster for a festival, all she said was "You haven't got
anything to wear yet...?" I shook my head and she thought to herself till I called out "It's fine, I don't
need to go and if I do, I don't need an outfit for it!" She just stared at me, sometimes I swear she can see
right through me... It's like I can't hide anything from her... She looked in her wallet and said "alright
let's go." I asked where to and she said "The tailor's shop, where else...?" before heading out and we all
followed.
When we arrived, she went straight to the fabric section saying "Which do you like most, you can pick
one too Lyna." Lyna picked up a pale blue and I went for a bright red, Leo also went looking at fabric and
Sam said "If you're getting fabric, you'll have to get it yourself and make your own outfit, I aint exactly
rich." He laughed and told her not to worry, that he would. Sam paid for the fabric and not a lot of her
money remained after that, I decided I'd go get a job so I could help, so I managed to get one at the
bakery as a delivery person. Sam spent most of her time sewing in her room even though we said it
didn't matter, Leo came over sometimes and borrowed some of Sam's clothing so he could get a rough
idea how an outfit is sewn so he can make his own. Soon enough the day of the festival came, me and
Lyna was dressed up in the dresses Sam made us and as we were leaving, Leo came up the stairs in a
suit, a present in hand. He gave the present to Sam and said she had to open it now, she looked pretty
confused but took it inside anyway placing it on the table and opening it, inside was some fabric, when
she picked it up it turned out to be a long pale orange dress, I was so surprised, and you could tell that
Sam really was. There was also a pair of white shoes to match the accents of the dress in the box, she
looked towards him and said "What's this about...?" He laughed before saying "You really thought I'd let
you be the only young lady in the kingdom to not go to the ball? Do you really think I'm just a good for
nothing thief...?" she shook her head and he carried on by saying "Well go on then Cinderella, go get
ready for the ball." She was about to refuse but I pushed her upstairs dress and shoes in hand and into
her room.
A while later we came back down, Sam was all dressed up with her hair half up half down carefully tied
with a ribbon. Leo looked towards us as we approached and his cheeks turned red as he said "It looks
really pretty on you..." before looking away, Sam thanked him for the compliment and the outfit as I
giggled at his reaction. We then all made our way to the town square where the festival was taking
place, the stalls were all set up selling festival goods and food and I took Lyna to go meet Jeremy. As I
was leaving, I saw Leo bow to Sam before escorting her around the festival, after that we didn't see
them for the rest of the night. The next day Sam was cooking breakfast and Geoffrey was at the table as well a vase was placed in the
middle of the table with red roses and Daffodils arranged neatly in it. You could tell Sam had arranged
them, she always did enjoy flowers and took great care of them, most of the plants she cared for in
Grandma's Garden grew quickly, there was Daffodils, roses, hyacinths and all sorts was in the garden
along with the vegetables. When I approached her, I asked what happened with Leo and she said, "We
just talked and danced for a bit." I was curious of where Leo was, so I asked Geoffrey and he said that he
had duty early today.
