I don't know how but somehow it seems everything has magically begun to fit back together. I've stopped worrying about my education and instead I'm more than excited for the Mission Trip in November. Mom and Gemma will be arriving within the week for the Summer Holiday and will stay for the ritual June through September break in London.
I love that Mom isn't afraid to stick to our traditions when Dad will be missing from them. It'll keep the comfort of our traditions in place, meanwhile, it'll exclude the person who doesn't deserve to be a part of our traditions.
And this thing with Ollie is incredible. Not only have I got my best friend back but he's brought happiness to a part of my life I didn't know I had been missing. It's like he's shown me that falling for someone is something that should be celebrated not treated as an inconvenience of a chore. Yes, it's very clear I'm falling for him. I've always loved Ollie, even when we drifted apart I always looked back at him with fond and happy memories. And now that we've come back together It's quite obvious the second I stopped fighting him- or more so my feelings for him - I am falling for Oliver Thomas.
Of course, I'll be keeping this monumental information to myself. Because I don't know what the time apart from November to April could do, especially when we aren't officially together. I want the assurance of being Ollie's girlfriend but how do I expect him to ask me when I still want to keep our relationship solely between us? And after everything, I put him through when I first got here I don't want to pressure him into anything. Especially for a title on a relationship, I don't want anyone knowing about. Talk about having my cake and eating it too.
"I've got one week here, so I'll be able to see your mom and Gemma before I have to go back to Scotland," Ty says as we all lounge outside in their back garden under the Summer sun.
"How's the team looking this year?" Ollie asks him sitting on the ledge of the chaise lounger that him and I are sharing, forcing my legs to be bent tightly so my bare feet don't touch him. Ollie's been purposefully trying to get under my skin and touching me or brushing past me every time we are together at George and Jane's.
And frankly, it's working.
Ty shrugs, "Alright, we're a young team. I reckon we need some more mature players."
"Ugh, why do we have to talk football every time Ty is here." Maggie lets her head fall back against the chaise lounger she's sunning on and adjusts her sunglasses down her nose to give her brother's a glare.
My lips crack into a grin, and the boys continue their football talk like her interruption didn't even occur so I take a glance at her sketchbook and the fashion magazine she has spread open. "What are you working on there?" I ask her, knowing I'm no substitute for my sister in the fashion department but I can at least make an attempt.
"I'm putting together a fall look-book." She says handing me her large sketchbook.
I open it to the page she was working on and I'm completely impressed. I knew Maggie is talented, but as I skim through the finished sketches of beautiful clothing I'm completely shocked. "Wow, these are gorgeous, Maggie," I tell her my lips spreading large and my chest filling with flutters appreciating the pretty pieces that came from her own mind.
