Y/n sat on the window set with a sleeping Umbra in his lap while he gently pets her head not to wake her

Mary: y/n? Are you awake?

Y/n: yeah.

Mary open the door and came in and took a set next to him

Mary: not sleeping again?

Y/n: I don't want to wake Umbra, she looks so peaceful.

Mary join petting the kitten seemingly relaxing

Mary: it's not surprising to see you if all people taking a look at cats.

Y/n: are you saying that being I'm a cat Faunus?

Mary chuckled making y/n puff hid checks and slightly annoyed about her not answering his questions

Y/n: what's so funny?

Mary: oh nothing, by the way, I've come to inform you about a party I've been invited to.

With the sleight of hand, she pulled out a card with an invite by the Schnee's emblem on it.

Mary: sounds fun right? And I get to bring a friend, so there's a chance to see one of your friends again, what's her name, Weiss?

Y/n looked at the emblem and said nothing

Mary: what's wrong?

Y/n: I-I don't know, it's 2 days from now and it's in Atlas wasn't it closed off? Plus I'm scared of what Weiss-

Mary: why? Shouldn't you be glad to see a friend?

Y/n: nothing would make me happier than seeing any of them but I just left there probably mad for my disappearance...

Mary looked into y/n's eyes and saw sadness but she had an answer for almost anything or the next best thing

Mary: shouldn't be hard to get in, I'll have to pull dome strings nothing you should concern yourself with but if you're scared of her seeing you then maybe?

Mary looked at y/n staring intently at him until it came to her

Mary: I have an idea!

Y/n: a wonderful idea or an awful idea?

Mary: why can't it be both?

Y/n: a wonderfully awful idea?

Mary: very!

Y/n: that doesn't give me a confidence boost but I trust you.

He really shouldn't that was bad judgment on his part.

Mary: well I need to make a few calls, night!

Y/n: good night.

Mary left the room leaving y/n with Umbra. He looked at the night sky and looked towards the moon.

Y/n: I wonder how everyone is doing.
