II: Childhood

As years flew by Wendy had started growing physically, mentally, and magically but she was a very shy little thing that hid behind her mother's large leg or her aunt Morgana's long skirt or inside her uncle's Merlin and Ignotus' robes whenever she had to meet new people like when Grandeneey had introduced her to Weisslogia and Skiadrum's sons Sting Eucliff and Rios Cheney and the nightmare of trying to introduce her to Igneel and Metalicana's sons Natsu Dragneel and Gajeel Redfox who just fought the whole visit, she had improved drastically in her healing magic and support magic but had only learned Tenryū no Hoko as her offensive magic which worried Grandeneey who had limited time on her hands

"Perhaps teaching her a different type of offensive magic could help after all her family had a history of tremendous Celestial Magic before they moved to Albion," Merlin said as she looked at the sleeping little girl

"Can you not extend your time Grandeneey ?" Ignotus asked the Sky Dragon

"I am afraid not I have to send her away soon," she said sadly

"I am saddened to say this but so do we," Ignotus said his expression crestfallen

"I don't want to leave her alone," Morgana said looking back with tears in her eyes, she finally had what she wanted, a beautiful daughter and a family as odd as it was but now she had to leave her little princess

"Be calm Morgana we can still visit her just not always. We still have our responsibilities to our home Avalon, have faith in her" Merlin said smiling softly at the woman but he felt awful for leaving the little girl as he too had grown to love her

"This week we will all spend as much time as we can afford with her especially Grandeneey then we will focus on our jobs," Ignotus said sternly knowing how hard it would be for him and his friends to resist the urge to check up on her daily

"Well then let us change the topic how have those people been?" Grandeneey asked wanting to know what revenge they inflicted on those horrible people

"I have contacted the Goblins and disowned them from my family line and personally made Wendy my heiress as well as took back the cloak last I heard they've been selling their son for interviews to get by they still live in Potter Manor but Euphemia and Fleamont have been making their lives there miserable," Ignotus said smirking as he remembered the horrified looks on the Potter's faces when they found a huge chunk of their fortune having been taken by the rightful owner and that they could do nothing about it

"We have also taken measures to ensure that Wendy would be the only one to gain access to our fortune," Morgana said smirking before she looked down onto the magical bracelet in her hand "Wendy no matter what you face in life I hope that what we leave for you can help you"

"Relax Morgana we've all contributed something to further her training even after she is left to her own devices," Ignotus said smiling at the memory of how fast Wendy learned the language of dragons thanks to her Parseltongue ability

"Well then I believe that all we have to do now is wait"

After a week that held their most beloved memories with the little girl, they had soon realized that it was time to leave and allow fate to take control, as for Wendy.

"Grandeneey! Uncle Merlin, Uncle Igni, Aunt Gana! Where are you?" Little Wendy called as she walked aimlessly through the forest looking for anyone from her family "Please come out it's not funny"

"Hey, are you alright?" A boy with blue hair which was lighter than her own, dark green eyes, and a strange-looking red tattoo above and below his right eye

Without thinking Wendy ran up to him hugging him as she cried into his waist grieving for the loss of her family. That night the boy who was named Jellal made sure that Wendy had thoroughly calmed down before he asked her what she was doing there and soon enough after he heard her story he decided to let her join him in his travels

"So Wendy what were your family members like?" He asked as he prepares some fish for their supper

"My family were great my mama was strong and kind and beautiful just like my auntie Morgana who was also really good at the magic she could turn stones into bunnies, my uncle Ignotus was strong but he never let me read his books said that I was still a baby" Wendy explained with a huge pout on her cheeks making Jellal laugh at how cute she was being "Then my uncle Merlin would turn his hair pink and purple and take me to read his books and pet his snakes make birds from thin air"

"Sound like a great family I hope you'll find them again someday," he said smiling

"I know I will they promised me," Wendy said fingering her bracelet which Jellal noted looked very simple but when he looked closer her noted how expensive some of the charms were and it gave off a magical pulse

"I think so too," he said before handing her a fish "But you'll have to eat first so they don't worry about you when you meet them again"

"Ok!" Wendy said cutely before she started eating her fish

"I've been meaning to ask but what is your last name?" He asked he only receiving a tilt of her head in answer

"What's that?" She asked

"It's the name you share with your family" he tries to explain before she looked down sadly

"I don't know but I've heard my auntie being called Lady Le Fae by my uncles and my uncle Ignotus said that he was once called Lord Peverell and uncle Merlin even kept teasing him about it," Wendy said smiling at the memory of her family

"How about Marvell? It's like a combination of all their names" Jellal suggested before Wendy thought it over

"Marvell, Wendy Marvell I love it thank you Jellal!" She said before getting up and hugging him around the neck making him laugh

After a month of traveling with Jellal Wendy had suddenly found herself in a strange place which was empty except for her and an old man

"Grandfather... Where am I?" She asked looking around the room looking for Jellal

"W-Where are you...?" the old man stuttered out nervously

"Jellal," she said sadly before she placed her head back to her knees, "said he was going to take me to a guild"

"T-This is a guild," the old man said spreading his arms "A wonderful guild of mages!"

"Really?" Wendy asked happily once she lifted her head up

"Nabuna! Step out here and take a look around" he said smiling Everyone is waiting to meet you"

Chapter 2

I thought it would be a good idea to let Jellal/Mystogan give her a last name like how Jellal did for Erza and I know its stupid but the Marvell thing wasn't my idea
