VIII: Mission with the Thunder God Tribe

The next morning Wendy and Carla were invited by Freed to meet the rest of the Thunder God Tribe which she happily did. Evergreen just loved her proclaiming her the cutest guild member ever, Bixlow showed her his dolls who all kept saying "cutie" while flying around her, and Freed told her about the ruins he's learned

"Hey maybe we can take Wendy with us on a job" Evergreen suggested after about five minutes of nonstop cooing

"Wendy, would you like to join us?" Freed asked the child

"Ok," Wendy said smiling as she got Cubellious off her head and let her wrap around her neck as she held onto Carla

"So which one do we do?" Bixlow asked before Wendy saw one that caught her attention

"How about this?" Wendy pointed out before Freed took the mission request and read it

"Escorting five doctors to the Noire family home from Hibiscus town, Reward: 400,000 J" he read out loud wondering about it

"I like it," Bixlow said grinning while Evergreen was praising a blushing Wendy

"Well then we shall take it" Freed said before he went over to Mirajane

"I see, well be careful and take care of Wendy alright," she said to Freed before they all left to get ready

An hour later they all met at Magnolia Station with their luggage in hand and readily boarded the train to Margaret meanwhile back at the guild Gray and Natsu we're fighting again

"Not like she'll want to have a destructive Flame Brain-like you take her on her first mission here!" Gray said while pulling at Natsu's hair

"Oh yeah well not like a stripper like you is any better!" He said pulling at Gray's mouth

"Wendy went on a mission with the Thunder God Tribe not too long ago," Mirajane said shocking Team Natsu

"Oh no fair I wanted to work with Wendy" Lucy whined

"I, as well" Erza added

"Well not like we can do anything about it now" Gray sighed

Meanwhile, the Thunder God Tribe and Wendy had just gotten the doctors halfway towards the Noire family property without problem when suddenly around a dozen bandits dropped from the trees surrounding them

"Oh how charming," Evergreen said before she readied her magic along with Bixlow and Freed while Wendy, Carla, and Cubellious stayed around the doctors to keep them safe

"Hirake! Arutairu no tobira, Aquila!" Wendy chanted before a giant Eagle with a crown of brown and white feathers appeared near Freed ready to help

"What can I do for you, Wendy?" She asked before one of the bandits tried to shoot at Wendy only for the Eagle, Aquila to catch the arrow with her talon, and then out of nowhere a blue stream of lightning shock all the bandits to their left

"Wow the kid has some strong spirits," Bixlow remarked as his babies dealt with most of the bandits in front of them

"I bet she's even better with her Sky magic" Evergreen cooed while Freed just smiled at Wendy who smiled back

"Well then let's finish this so we can get home before nightfall" Freed said before they all finished the bandits off

Soon they all got to the manor where they found out that the doctors were all there for the family's youngest son who had consumed a poisonous flower by accident

"Wendy has healing magic," Evergreen said without thinking making the two noble parents look up

"Wendy Marvell from Cait Shelter? The Sky Sorceress?" Lady Isabella Noire asked looking at the young girl with hope in her eyes

"We had sent a request to Cait Shelter not too long ago for help I was unaware you were in Fairy Tail now. Please just save our little Alfred" Lord Francis Noire begged Wendy, not afraid of getting on his knees in front of the girl along with his wife "We will gladly triple your reward, just please help our son"

"You don't have to do that I will help as much as I can," Wendy said determinedly  before she walked towards the little boy's room where the doctors were taking down all they have observed "May I look at your findings?"

"Of course," a young doctor said handing over her findings to Wendy who read through them fast before she stepped closer to the little boy's bed and started healing him with her Sky Dragon magic along with various enchantments from the Peverell family spellbook

"Wow she is amazing," Evergreen said as she watched from the doorway

"I think Laxus would like her" Freed said smiling

"You kidding me he'd love her probably be a big brother to her in the first second of meeting" Bixlow joked making the rest of his teammates laugh at the image of Laxus being all sweet and protective over the little blueberry "Haha like he'll admit something like that"

After three hours of none stop healing Wendy, who at this moment was exhausted stood up and declared the little boy healed and out of harm's way

"Oh thank you so much" Isabella cried as she hugged Wendy close before going to her son's side

"Here you are," Francis said as he gave their reward to Freed before walking over to his family

"If there are any complications please don't hesitate to ask for Fairy Tail's help," Wendy said before they all went back to Magnolia happy to have completed the mission and gained more money

"I still think that you should take a far larger amount Wendy" Freed insisted as they were all heading for the guildhall

"No it's alright I'm fine really besides I only did what was right," Wendy said embarrassed

"Oh how about we head to the new clothing store and I'll buy you and Carla a new dress that way you can't refuse," Evergreen said

"I'll buy something for you as well" Freed insisted followed by Bixlow making Wendy blush even more

"Hey! Wendy!" Gray and Natsu greeted at the same time before they started fighting each other

"Carla my love!" Happy declared only to be ignored

"So how was your first mission Wendy?" Mira asked the girl as Freed escorted her to the bar

"She did fantastically and she managed to even heal the Noire's youngest son tripling our reward," Freed said sounding like a proud father

"It was nothing really" Wendy insisted as she blushed

"Isn't she just the cutest" Evergreen cooed

"Cutie! Cutie!" Bixlow's dolls kept repeating which made Wendy blush even more

"Speaker has a higher body temperature is speaker sick?" Cubellious asked from around Wendy's neck

"No I'm fine" she whispered while still blushing
