from what i've seen, most people agree that the jews were the first to be living in palestine. however, this does not mean that the land belongs to israel. here's why:
1. if you are living in a house, someone does not get to come and kick you out of your house, claiming it for theirs just because their great ancestors lived there once upon a time. that's not how it works.
2. the vast majority of israelis have european roots and ancestry, despite being jewish. they are not descended from the same people who once lived here. they have no more right to the land than palestinians do.
3. palestinians have been living there for hundreds and thousands of years. even if they were not there originally, they were there longer than the israelis were.
4. even if israel somehow had a right to the land, they don't deserve it. they have violated dozens of global laws and human rights. why aren't they being held accountable? why aren't they returning the territory they stole? palestinians would have had no issue with them coming to live there, but conquering and killing the area was going too far. israel is at fault.
