a large gasp escapes my mouth, my eyes opened wider than i thought i could ever open them
my vision was blurry—yet i could still see the faintest peek of the suns rays coming through the slight opening of my curtains

i was breathing heavily,
my hands clutching my t-shirt and gripping my bed sheets as i sat up in bed with tears streaming down my face—
cold sweat dripping down my forehead and down my neck

the sound of birds chirping from the outside world fills my ears, along with a light vibration sound coming from underneath me

꧁ ☦︎ ꧂ Just A Dream

after getting out of bed and wiping my tears i began to rustle my hands around my sheets and blankets until something fell directly onto my foot
making a loud thud as it collided with the floor and me holding my foot in pain

i walked over to what fell and picked it up—
it was a book
the cover being a cross with a bloody sword blade, and a rose wrapping around it
i turned the book over to the front and ran my fingers along the big bold white letters

"King..slayer?"
i said to myself,
then i remembered— george had sent me a book he recommended me to read a while back

i was reading the final chapter last night and i guess i must've fallen asleep
" it was.. all a dream? "
i remember saying to myself

i threw the book back on my bed— i continued to look for what was making the vibrating sound

after a couple of minutes of rustling through my bed— i found out what was making the noise
my phone
turning it over to the screen— i could see a bunch of messages and missed calls from my friends

the rest were twitter and YouTube notifications but as i scrolled a bit farther i saw some text messages from george that were sent 20 minutes ago

Dream!

i'm going live in a few minutes, just hope onto discord when you wake up
i'll wait to start the stream

a smile spreads across my face— as i exited my room and was greeted with my precious cat
" hey patches, good morning"
i gently picked her up and gave her a gentle head rub
she purrs and i put her back on the floor

my hand reaches for the doorknob of my game room
upon entering, my computer was already on— with discord messages popping up
i quickly put my headset on and hopped onto the call with only george and sapnap

" Hey! Dream is here finally!"
the brit claps his hands sarcastically

" dude you are such a heavy sleeper man"
sapnap replies with a slight chuckle

" yeah, sorry about that haha, i had the most sad but most bittersweet dream ever— "

the call was silent for a few seconds until sapnap burst out laughing
" Dream had a Dream HAHA! Gold!"
