Chapter-17~Brave~Part-1

It was a week later when Skyes nightmare had to becaome real. Shoving on the Turquoise abaya and a mint green scarf. Skye put on a white abaya woth her pearl blue scarf and took a deep breath.

"Inhale exhale, inhale, exhale," she muttered munching on her toast.

We kissed Ammi and Abba salaam and walked out into the streets. Elektra met us around the corner, I figured we'd need her protection.

"Sup," she muttered.

"Skye converted,"

"Good for her," she didn't say it in a sarcastic way, she had a genuine smile when she did and clapped me on the back.

We reached the road Skye's gazewas firmly on the ground.

"Woah there,"

Elektra grabbed Skye just in time before a black car whizzed passed us, the driver cursing madly.

"I know I told you to keep your gaze low but not on a road Skye," I laughed crossin the school gates.

She grinned at me sheepishly. As soon as we walked in people around us stopped and stared, whispers hissed around us like fire.

"Hey why you go at bin bag on yur ed?"

"Ewwww, this is not fashionable Skye,"

"Filthy dogs,"

One of the rowdy boys grabbed a handful of mud and aimed, only to be kicked in the shins by Elektra.

"Pig," she spat.

We walked into the school, ignoring the stares and whispers we entered class.

"So I've heard," squealed Miss Chelsea.

"Heard?"

"You and Skye are twins!"

The class erupted in hisses and a couple of Samsung whistles went of. I didn't pay any attenion to class and was thankful when the bell went for hometime.

Me and Skye went to Morrissons and collected a couple of breads and some vegetables.

"Ameera I'm boiling,"

I rolled my eyes at her and went to stand in the freezer aisle.

"Ahhhh, that's better,"

An old lady gave us a funny look and walked of, with a couple doing the same.

"Why are they staring, we've never been here before,"

I turned around and burst out laughing.

"What's wrong now?"

"Skye......we're....standing.....next.....to....the...ham," I gasped between laughs.

Skye jumped away from the freezer as if electrocuted, then burst out laughing. Snorting our way to the till we payed and went home.

Everything was going to be alright.
