Skye P.O.V

"Skye!" Lauren yelled.

Ughhhhh, I got up slowly and stumbled down the plum purple staircase.

"Sit down, Patrick and I want to talk to you," Lauren boomed, in a posh, intimidating voice.

I sat down warily onto the beige leather sofa, Lauren looked at me with her dark hazel eyes, and fumbled with her blonde hair, brown roots and dip-dye layers.

"You see the thing is, Skye, you're gonna turn twenty very soon, and, if, only if, they manage to track down our parents, you will, get to have the chance to live with them," Patrick wheezed.

WHAT, SKYE YOU DONT WANT TO LIVE WITH THE ANIMALS THAT LEFT YOU FOR NO REASON.

But they're my family.

Humph family, yeah right.

Shut up.

You cant tell me to shut up I'm you.

What?

You see......

"Skye!" Lauren said, waving her fingers in front of my face.

"Mmm,"

"What do you think?" She asked excitedly.

"Hhh," I dunno, never met them, dont want to meet them, " yeah, if they find them then sure!"

I stood up quickly, Patrick pulled me down, and I sat down in a huff on the sofa.

"What?!" I pouted.

" You need to find a job," Patrick sighed.

"Why?"

"Dont question me young lady!" He warned.

"stingy idiots, spend all your money on fancy cars and food,"

"EXCUSE ME,"

"Excused, " I smirked, as he turned a radish red.

"We cant keep giving you money, go out find a job, NOW!" He yelled angrily.

I pulled on my peach blazer and nude sandals and ran, making sure to slam the door on the way out. I paced up and down the streets looking for shops that I loved, nothing, they're all wrong.

Frocks n Frills

Ice Cream Passion

HELL YEAH!

I dashed into the door of Ice Cream Passion, and sat at one of the coffee coloured tables, and waited for my turn.

"Next!"

I stood near the counter and cleared my throat.

"Hem hem, can I please have a choco moco ice cream sundae with chopped peanuts, gnache and two choco straws oh and a flake 99, I was wondering do you do summer jobs?" I askes politely.

"Yeah!" Tara (the worker) beamed.

"Cool, can I start tommorow?"

"Sure, but first, make me an ice cream," tara smirked.

"What?"

"So I can see your skills, I would like a strawberry suprise sundae, with, chopped peacans, fresh strawberries, sprinkles, and strawberry sauce,"

I whipped the solid ice cream until it became soft and fluffy, and spooned it in drizzling sauce, and sprinkling sprinkles, pecans and fresh sliced strawberries before handing it to her.

"So?"

"Tomorrow eight A.M sharp,"

"HALLILUJAH!"

"Oh and here your ice cream is free now you work here," she said cheerfully.

I danced my way back home, today, amazing, I might meet my family in four weeks, I work at an ice cream parlour, and I got the best free ice cream ever!

Life is sweet.
