Part 5 :Salvatore and Mikaelsons : the dinner pt 1

(A/N - obviously daddy Damon has way too much self respect and daddy Elijah has to apologise so let's watch this go down)

Damon POV.

"to top it off you're a manwhore."
I look at him and nod, I know I have a reputation but the one person I thought saw past that was Elijah, I guess not. His outburst affected me more than I wanted it to, I obviously felt something for him but he wanted nothing to do with me, which hew made clear on multiple occasions. "Wow, where'd that come from, I'll see you tonight I guess, also you've made it clear, it's not a date."
I turned to quickly leave
"Young Raven wait I-"
He called out after me I didn't wait long enough to listen and vamped away. I went home to tell Stefan we're going for dinner.
"Stefan"
I called out when I got home, he didn't reply but I heard the water running, he's probably in the shower, I waited for him downstairs. I thought about what Elijah said, he judged me based on my reputation, I shouldn't have expected something different, he did what everyone does. Reminded me of my place in people's life, nothing more than a hookup, nothing more than a helper when people need work done. Second place to Stefan, always second to him just as mother had said. I opened a bottle of Bourbon and drank straight from it. I almost finished it when someone pulled it away from me
"woah, easy, slow down there, Blimey you look a mess what the hell happened to you"
Enzo asks me, I sigh and shake my head.
"Oh come on, I'm one of your only friends, stop lying to me Damon, what happened? Ok fine don't tell me just tone it down on the alcohol and give me the location of the Bennett witch."
I sigh before telling him where Bonnie is. He happily leaves the house, Stefan comes downstairs.
"Get dressed, we're having dinner with the originals."
I tell him.
"What!"
He sputters,
"well we need to stall Klaus and keep Elena alive, unless now that your humanity is back on you still.want her dead... But we are going to negotiate with Klaus."
I tell him calmly. He shakes his head
"nope. No way. I am not going to dinner with Klaus."
I give him clothes for tonight
"Yes, you are and you will be on your best behaviour."
He glares
"why should I listen to you, how do I know you want to help me."
I squint
"Do you want Elena dead?"
He starts getting ready muttering under his breath. Elena is in love with me, well not really, she told Stefan that she is because she wanted him to move on, so now we both pretend that we have feelings for each other, only Bonnie and probably Enzo knows that we are faking it, Elena said it would be mutually beneficial. I.was confused when she said it and then she said,
"he came to save you Damon. It wasn't impossible to figure it out. We can make him jealous."
I sighed and agreed because why not, now I know the person we, I wanted to make jealous doesn't care. I leave Stefan's room and go and get dressed myself. My phone rings
"hello, Damon Salvatore speaking."
Ric speaks on the receiving end
"Have you got a plan to stall Klaus?"
"Yup"
I replied, popping the P.
"What is it?"
He asked
"Me and Stefan are having dinner with Klaus and Elijah."
I say.
"You what now?"
He said shocked,
"Well, I decided it would be good to sit down you know and have a conversation."
I tell him nonchalantly,
"what the hell is wrong with you, there is actually a problem in your brain, Dinner with the Mikaelsons."
He says I laugh because I can imagine the look on his face
"Klaus hates you Damon, he literally wants you dead."
He shouts
"oh come on Relax ric, it's just dinner, besides I still have his coffin, which Elijah just told me is their Mother. He won't kill me"
I hear him sigh
"If you die I'm not coming to your funeral."
We laugh before hanging up the phone. Well time to go to dinner, before I could tell Stefan it's time to go, the bell rang, I opened the door
"you're gay?"
Tyler asked, shocked walking in at the same time as Bonnie who came in pacing about
"I slept with Enzo."
I stood there looking at both of them
"what the hell!"
I sigh
"Bonster that is great for you I guess, we all saw how much you like each other, besides two of my best friends being together is awesome, get it I guess. And Tyler what?"
He looks at me
"Caroline told me about Elijah, by accident, so that's why he came to save you."
I roll my eyes of course she did
"I wouldn't say gay as I like both girls and guys but when you've been alive for over a century well gender really isn't important. But why was it so important you came all the way to my house."
He shrugged
"I was just shocked. Get it I guess. I have to go back to Klaus he wants me to get stuff for you guys tonight, I need to find a way to break this stupid sire bond with him, anyways have fun on your date with Elijah tonight."
He left the house and I closed the door and walked back inside.
"You have a date with Elijah."
Bonnie asked I shook my head
"nope he made it clear he wanted nothing to do with me."
She was confused, I explained our conversation including his outburst
"oh and then he called me a manwhore." I finished.
"HE WHAT!"
She exclaimed, I nodded
"but why did he say he wanted nothing to do with you?"
I shrug
"I guess he just saved me because of his deal with Elena''
she shook her head
"no, Damon, he is practically in love with you."
I look up at her
"woah, slow down what are you on about?"
She sighed
"the whole plan to stop Klaus before when Stefan was going to use the dagger on Elijah and you refused, when we left we spoke about something where you couldn't hear. He refused to put you in danger, he made me link him and Klaus, the minute Klaus attacked you he wanted me to dagger him. Just talk to him tonight properly, maybe you can sort stuff out. I'm going to see Enzo, I'll see you later."
She leaves and I call Stefan, we get in the car and I drive to Mikaelson's.
