Elijah POV.

"You don't have to leave brother"
Klaus said while I stood at the door with my bags.
"I do but it is ok it is fine, we will see each other again."
I told him in an attempt to comfort him
"It's not us I'm worried about, Elijah"
I sighed, I knew exactly who he was talking about. Everyone heard the argument yesterday. I wish he asked me to stay but he didn't.
"I'm doing this for the safety of everyone. Besides he doesn't want me here."
I told him, Klaus scoffed but before he could say anything the bell ran we looked at each other before opening it. Damon. Damon, Bonnie and Katherine.
"Rebekah, Klaus your gonna want to hear this,"
Katherine strode in, she gave me dirts
"You too."
Katerina has clearly chosen sides, Damon walks in, straight past me with no acknowledgement. The fact that he didn't even look at me hurts. Bonnie offers me a sympathetic wave and a smile out of pity.
"What's wrong, what happened?"
Klaus asked them.
"Your stupid coven decided to come visit us yesterday evening. Bonnie, Damon and I went out for dinner then came back home."
"What's wrong are you guys ok?"
Klaus asked
"No. no we are not. RIC DIED. yes he was wearing his ring but still. Also they killed Finn."
Damon said, I couldn't help but grow slightly smug when I heard Alaric died, what everyone knows I don't like him, plus he came back, unfortunately. It went away when I heard of Finn's death.
"Oh well, he was trying to get us all killed anyways."
Klaus shrugged, I shake my head
"He was still our brother. This is why I have to leave before someone else comes to harm."
"Are you going to tell him about you and Katherine?"
My head shoots round when I hear Bonnie's whisper
"No, it's none of his business. Besides I'm sure you just told him with your whisper loud enough to wake the dead."
Damon retorted back
"You idiots, he is an original vampire ofcourse he heard. Look at his face he definitely heard"
Katherine hissed. All three of them turned in sync to look at me, I was looking right at them, and heard everything. They look at eachother and shrug sheepishly at each other. I pinch the bridge of my nose and look down trying not to smile. Despite myself, the three of them, their friendship is cute and hilarious. But still he did something with Katerina. I scoffed and whispered under my breath
"Didn't even take you a day"
His ears perked up and his face fell into a puckered pout
"I'm sorry what was that, did you say something to me?"
I grimaced
"No of course not"
He nodded grimly. Klaus and Bonnie exchanged looks.
"Elijah, when are you leaving?"
Rebekah asked me,
"Anytime soon, in the next couple of hours."
Everyone in the room fell in silence.
"So you're really leaving huh?"
Damon asked
"No. we did this yesterday"
I told him, I can't do this not again.
"When will you come back?"
He asked me, showing the vulnerability he normally would only show to me in front of everyone
"When they let me."
I replied, unsure. He nodded.
"Don't leave."
He whispered, my heart cracked, he was being so genuine and honest, WHY DOES HE ALWAYS DO THIS. He never says it at the right opportunity.
"It's too late Damon, I already made a deal with the coven"
I felt my voice crack but I covered it with a cough
"Should we leave you alone?"
Bonnie asked
"No, shh I wanna stay for the show"
Katherine said, ok that does it, she has gotten on every last nerve of mine.
"Respectfully, there is nothing for you to see. Besides why are you here? You are just a manipulative bitch who plays people, especially Damon, you use him constantly."
Everyone looked at me shocked, Klaus looked pleased and frankly so did Bonnie. Katerina rolled her eyes
"Really, that's the best you got. I get your feelings are hurt but that is not my fault. Using Damon only worked when he loved me. Besides the only one using anyone was Damon yesterday all night long oh how he used and abused me."
She smirked, I saw the sides of Damon mouth twitch
"You loved it Kittykat"
He smirked, Bonnie cringed
"Ew, guys gross. Wait... where was I when all this happened."
Damon quickly said
"Downstairs."
But katherine said
"In the bathroom"
They tried to come to a mutual place
"Garden"
"Room next to us"
"Basement"
"LIVING ROOM"
The two finally managed to get to.
"Yh living room"
They said one after the other. I should be angry. I am. Angry and upset but their whole exchange was hilarious, they don't have to know that.
"You slept with Katherine"
I asked, he nodded, unbelievable
"Good. I'm glad you did because I slept with Hayley."
I said, yes, it was true, I was upset she was there, he did the same.
"Aww you slept with her, how romantic what next you two go on candlelight dinners"
He scowled bitterly, I smirked at his jealousy
"I didn't sleep with Katherine, I fucked her. Hard."
He walked towards me, I scoffed and walked towards him.
"I was with hayley all night long, I'm surprised all of mystic falls doesn't know my name"
I spoke smugly, our bodies directly in front of each other, I could feel his heart racing as well as my own
"How cute. Wait Kath, how many places did we do it in, oh right there was the bar bathroom, the bar counter, the doors, the boarding house, the kitchen, bathroom, garden, rooms. OH god we were everywhere."
He spoke, I clenched my jaw
"It was so good"
He tugged my tie whispering sinfully.
"Are they gonna kiss"
I hear Klaus ask
"That would be hot"
Bonnie replies to him. Damon is smirking so I know he heard.
"I can't believe you slept with Katherine"
I said disgusted
"I can't believe you slept with Hayley"
He mocked
"It didn't mean anything, I was upset"
I defended, he rolled his eyes
"Newsflash Elijah. KATHERINE DIDN'T MEAN SHIT. no offence"
He turned to Katherine so when he turned back to face me our noses brushed.
"How can you say that when you have history with her"
I glared at him
"I have history with a lot of people."
He glared back
"Yh but not a lot who manipulated you and broke you"
I pointed out
"So now I can't be friends with Katherine"
He asked bored
"That's not what I'm saying."
I told him exasperated
"If I can't be friends with Katherine, you can't see that hayley bitch"
He said, why can't he admit he is jealous.
"I AM TRYING TO LOOK OUT FOR YOU"
I try to explain getting annoyed
"I DON'T NEED YOU TO"
He shouts back
"YES YOU DO. YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE IT BUT YOU NEED ME"
He rolled his shoulder back, we were inches away from each other
"GET OVER YOURSELF I AM CAPABLE OF PROTECTING MYSELF."
I raised my eyebrows
"Do I need to list the times I've saved your life?"
He rolled his eyes
"I didn't ask you to. Go save Hayley"
I sigh
"You know what maybe I should, I'll go to New Orleans with her."
He scoffed
"I should've gone with the girl at the grille rather than wasting my time here."
I groan
"Oh great. You're telling me you had another option to go somewhere else but you still came here"
He crossed his arms
"Oh believe me your face was the last one I wanted to see. I was forced to come."
I crossed mine
"Well then maybe you should go. Wouldn't want to keep your new girl waiting."
He groans
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU."
I scoff
"ME? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU. YOU'RE THE ONE SLEEPING WITH YOUR EX."
He threw his head back
"FOR GOODNESS SAKE ELIJAH GET OVER IT. WE ARE NOT TOGETHER REMEMBER"
He pointed out
"THANK GOD FOR THAT. NEVER AGAIN"
I narrowed my eyes at him
"UGH I WISH I NEVER DATED YOU."
He shouted
"FEELINGS MUTUAL"
I shouted back
"YOU ARE A CONTROLLING, IRRITATING FAKE PERSON WHO HOLDS THEMSELF IN WAY TO HIGH SELF ESTEEM"
He prodded a finger to my chest
"YOU ARE AN ARROGANT NARCISSISTIC PSYCHOPATH WHO HAS NO REGARD FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S FEELINGS."
I shoved my finger into his shoulder
"I AM SO GLAD WE BROKE UP"
He said
"ME TOO"
I replied
"GOOD."
He mocked
"GREAT"
I mocked him
"GREAT"
He said back. We stood panting, breathing heavily glaring at each other in anger.
"Original jerk"
He muttered
"Insolent vamp"
I narrowed my eyes at him. He launched a pencil at me which I caught. I grabbed his neck and pinned him to a wall. He gripped my hands to pry them off.
"I'm an original show a little respect"
"You don't seem to care when it comes to screaming your name"
I took the pencil and stabbed his neck with it.
"WHY ARE YOU PUSHING ME AWAY FROM YOU"
He asked
"Because it is the best way to keep everyone safe"
I replied
"NO IT'S NOT ELIJAH IT ISN'T AND YOU KNOW IT. YOU ALWAYS DO THIS. EVERY TIME WE REACH A BREAKTHROUGH YOU PUSH ME AWAY"
He shouted at me
"IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO NOT PUT YOU IN DANGER"
"WHY DOES IT MATTER SO MUCH TO YOU TO KEEP ME SAFE??"
I pinched the bridge of my nose
"Because Damon, no matter what I currently feel or how you currently feel if you die because of me I will lose myself."
I told him, he looked at meI continued
"Calm down Damon. Compose yourself. This trip can not fail."
I warn. He pushed past me
"You don't get to tell me what to do anymore I. Hate. You."
He spat. Holding his neck.
"Well glad we could agree on something. feeling. Is. Mutual"
I said back in anger.
"Erm, you guys do realise the rest of us are still here."
I hear Rebekahs voice. He rolled his eyes at her.
