Elijah frowned as he woke up in the bed alone. He got up to look for Damon. He sighed and went downstairs. He could smell something in the kitchen. He smiled at the sight of his boyfriend cooking. He walked up to him, Damon sensed him
"Morning 'lijah"
He greeted him, Elijah went behind him and grabbed him by the waist
"Mmm, come back to bed"
He murmured
"No can do, I'm busy. Now shoo, go get dressed."
He instructed, Elijah was confused
"Oh god, Elijah. IT'S KLAUS AND CAMI'S ENGAGEMENT."
Damon shouted, Elijah groaned. He licked the bit of flour on Damon's neck.
"Why so early."
Damon moaned
"I guess we could spare some time."
He turned and pressed his lips against his smug, grinning boyfriend. Elijah undid Damon's apron to touch his bare chest.
"Damon is it read- oh for god's sake."
They pulled away at Caroline's voice.
"No. 15 MINUTES. I leave for 15 minutes and I have to come back to the two of you having sex on the kitchen counter. KLAUS IS GETTING ENGAGED. HE ASKED ME TO ORGANISE THE PARTY THAT IS SERIOUS RESPONSIBILITY. So you two need to tone down the sex, I don't care if you are horny."

She finished, Elijah apologised. But Damon grinned cheekily, with zero guilt
"We actually didn't have sex. You came in."
She glared at him, Elijah returned to his position of hugging him from the back his head on his neck.
"Dont. Push. It."
She warned,
"I would love to have sex with you on the kitchen counter if people stop interrupting us."
Elijah muttered lowly only for Damon.
"Ugh, gross, vamp ears, hello."
They apologised,
"Just get ready and come."
She instructed trying not to smile at them. They both got ready and Caroline left.
"So, everyone is doing stuff, what's the plan for us?"
Elijah asked, Damon was doing Elijah's tie
"What do you mean?"
He asked, Elijah sighed,
"Well Klaus is getting Engaged, Tyler and Care moved in together, Bonnie and Enzo are going to get married, Stefan wants to marry Elena, what about us?"
He asked, Damon thought about it, he wondered the same, they just never spoke about it.
"I don't know. I mean we already practically live together, I love you, You love me."
Elijah nodded,
"Hmm, I like our life right now."
Damon agreed,
"Besides all we have is time"
Elijah put on his shoes
"So, would you marry me, one day in the future?"
Elijah asked, Damon laughed,
"Yes, of course I would."
They smiled at each other. Elijah took his hand and they walked out of the house to go to the party. They did love their life, it was happy.
