chapter twelve

Jamal started freaking out because the money was gone which I would too I mean hiding that much money in the neighborhood is a big deal.

I sat behind Ruby while Ruby, Cesar and Monse sat in front of me.

They all thought he didn't have the money but he showed them the security camera footage.

He skipped forward.. his parents were in his room earlier about to get it on.. on his bed. We all stood up quick and looked back at the bed. He handed Ruby the phone while he freaked out.

He looked again and his mom was taking the bag out of his room.

"MOM?" Jamal called for his mom but no answer

Ruby, Cesar and Monse all stayed in Jamals room while Jamal and I went to his parents room to get his moms attention.

Jamal opened the door about to yell at his mom but his parents were doing it on their bed now. Jamal and I both yelled and he shut the door quick.

We waited for them and they finally opened the door.

"You guys okay?" His dad asked buttoning up his shirt

"Okay seriously this whole situation is potentially scarring but but I'm not trying to get into that right now.. where's my gym bag?" Jamal asked his mom

"With my football gear"

"It was in my closet"

"Oh the stinky one.. it's gone! It's not like you're playing football anymore" His mom said as we both stared at her

She donated it.

We went back into the room and his blanket was off his bed.

Jamal wanted to go to the Goodwill right now to get the money but they all refused.

We all headed out of Jamals house as he told us he hated us and that we sucked.

Ruby went home, Cesar walked Monse home and then he was probably going to go figure out somewhere to say and I headed to Oscar and I's house. I'm still pissed off about the fact that he kicked Cesar out. I mean yeah Cesar didn't shoot him but really he's family and blood. I wish I could do something about it but living with my brother is kind of hard and I don't think he will change his mind at all.

I made it home.. obviously everyone was outside like always.

"Tomorrow you have business to handle Jade" Oscar said as I walked past him.. I turned around

"No the fuck I don't"

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME" Oscar said standing up and getting all up in my face

"I said no the fuck I don't" I said smiling

"You're doing it.. otherwise you can go live on the streets with Cesar"

"You know what smartass?! YOU TOOK CARE OF CESAR AND I YOUR WHOLE LIFE AND NOW YOU TREAT CESAR LIKE SHIT AND YOU ALWAYS ARE YELLING AT ME JUST LET ME LIVE MY GOD DAMN LIFE. CESAR IS LIVING ON THE STREETS BECAUSE HE DIDNT KILL LATRELL. I DATED LATRELL AND WORST OF ALL YOU DIDNT EVEN KNOW I WAS WITH LATRELL THAT NIGHT AND I WAS A MESS THAT NIGHT AND YOU DIDNT EVEN CARE. YOU NEVER DO ANYMORE BECAUSE YOU ALWAYS ASK ME WHERE IM GOING AND EVEN IF I LIE YOU DONT CARE TO CHECK UP ON ME. SO YOU WANNA SIT HERE AND YELL AT ME? GUESS WHAT? I DONT GIVE A SHIT." I yelled at him

"GET IN THE GOD DAMN HOUSE NOW" Oscar yelled at me and followed me inside

"YOU DONT SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT. CESAR DESERVES WHAT HE GETS. HE DIDNT KILL LATRELL AND HIS FRIENDS GOT SHOT AND GUESS WHAT YOU CAN GET KICKED OUT OF THE HOUSE IF YOU ARE GOING TO KEEP TALKING" Oscar yelled
