chapter nineteen

The next morning I woke up and got dressed. I saw Jamal waking up.

"Morning princess" Jamal said rubbing his eyes

"Morning king" I said walking to sit on the bed with him

"You brought clothes right because I don't know if you really want to wear mine" I said as he laughed a little

"Yes of course I did"

"Good"

A week later

Jamal went back home after 2 days and everyone stopped worrying about the Prophets again but Cesar is missing. No one can get a hold of Cesar.. he won't answer his phone.

"I'm with Monse and Ruby. Should we come get you?" Jamal texted me

"Not today. I have business to handle." I texted back grabbing one of Oscars guns

I put a hoodie over me and put the hood up.

I'm going to Latrelle's.. kind of dangerous but no one can find my brother so I'm going to go find him.

Cesars birthday is next week so hopefully someone or I can find him because I want him to have a good birthday.

I made it to Latrelle's. I saw Latrelle kissing his new lil boo thang. I walked up to him and put my gun to his head.

"Where's my brother?" I asked

"You ain't gonna shoot me babygirl. We dated before and were close. You ain't gonna throw memories away like that." Latrelle said

"You don't know me anymore Latrelle. I'm a different person then when I was with you. Now where's my brother?" I asked getting mad

Latrelle pointed towards Oscar and I's house.

"He's at your house" Latrelle said walking away

I went to my house Oscar was working on his car. I started helping him. We worked on it for 20 minutes and then someone showed up behind him. Oscar picked up his gun and pointed at the person. It was Cesar.. he's alive and not dead.

"Get outta here" Oscar said

"I need protection" Cesar said breathing really hard

"You came to the wrong place" Oscar said not even looking at him

"I found Latrelle.. I went to go finish the job" Cesar said

"And?"

"Gun jammed" Cesar said trying to look away

"You're 0 for 2. Ain't gonna be number 3.. go" Oscar said calmly

"WHERE? I HAVE NOWHERE TO GO." Cesar yelled

"Not my problem" Oscar said

"Oscar-" I started saying

"Not your problem?" Cesar started getting mad

"There's nothing I can do for you" Oscar said

"Oscar you can let him live in the house" I said

"No"

"It's not just about you anymore. Everyone you care about is in jeopardy of your stay so leave. Don't come back." Oscar said

"You can't just-" I started saying until Oscar interrupted me

"Jade.. I said what I said" Oscar said

Cesar started walking away and came back.

"You know what Oscar? You should have handled this for me. You're not just my big brother you're my big homie." Cesar said making me feel bad for him
