It's been a week now, Tony and pepper told the others that the engagement was off

Loki and Ryley went to go visit ryleys mother as well, she was alot kinder when thinking her daughter brought home a polite future boyfriend, she still managed to find ways to degrade and hurt ryley though

Loki would've hurt her mother if he could've but he knew ryley would prefer him not to make the woman any angrier at all

Their trip back home was mostly silent though, ryley was driving and Loki was looking out the window till eventually he talked

"She is an insufferable woman" He said

Ryley laughed softly "that she is"

"Are you okay?" Loki asked

"Yeah, surprisingly, I think having you there reallly helped" Ryley smiled

Loki smiled back and held one of the youngers hands till she needed it again as she drove

"Oh, out of curiosity how old are you?" Ryley asked the god

"Hm pretty old, on earth I'm fairly certain I'm only 21 though" Loki said

"Cool, I'm 19" Ryley smiled softly

Loki nodded and after that they listened to music, both of them singing along and laughing and having a good time

Ryley was starting to notice a different in both if them, they both seemed happier from when they first met

Despite the lack of sleep they both seemed to still get they were less on edge

Ryley didn't hide out in her lab all day everyday

Loki smiled more

Ryley talked more, she didnt feel as silent and small

Loki helped her feel bolder because despite everything he's done and been through he still found a way to be strong and bold

And ryley admired that

Just as Loki was kinder and nicer, because despite Everything ryley has been through she's still one of the kindest people he has ever met

And Loki admired that

They helped each other without even knowing it

"You know" Ryley started as they were now parked at the tower

"Hm?" Loki questioned

"I think I'm happier with you, I noticed that, I don't know, I just feel calmer, less on edge and it's just... Comfortable" She said then looked at the god

"I believe I am happier with you as well, you've definitely brought out my better side" Loki smiled softly at her

Ryley smiled back "I'm glad I could do that then, I'm glad we met"

"I'm glad we met too, especially considering my first impression of you was you trying to rap who's baking before you got covered in flour" Loki chuckled

Ryley blushed then pouted "noooo let's never speak of that again please-"

"Hmmm, I don't think so, oh! I'm completely forgot about you dancing too" The god chuckled more and ryley lightly hit his arm

"So not fair" She laughed softly

"Oh shush, darling, you know you love me~" He said

Ryley rolled her eyes "you wish snake boy~"

They both smiled then got out of the car happily and started walking towards the entrance
