"Why is it that you spend more time in this garden rather than outside?"  A familiar, yet unrecognizable voice tells Yeona. "You still have not spoken to me about this so called illness of yours. You still look young and healthy, much younger than I to be exact."

Yeona could only simply smile at the person. "I do not want to speak about it. But maybe, someday, I can bring myself to tell you about it."

She hears a sigh of disappointment after speaking. "If that's what you wish, lady Yeona."

MIYOUNG

Miyoung gripped her head as a throbbing pain awoke her from her slumber. Strange dreams were getting even more frequent as the time passes, and yet she still had a very hard time distinguishing their faces.

From her window, the sunlight entered hitting the vase of azalea sitting in her desk. She smiled while looking at the flowers, it was a rather beautiful sight to look at early in the morning. She had nothing planned for the day, other than slacking of course. Miyoung stretched, making her way downstairs to grab breakfast.

As any other weekday, everyone was gone to do their own things. Out of their kindness, they left a note attached to the fridge in order to let Miyoung know where they headed. While drinking her coffee and scrolling through her phone, she suddenly had this urge to paint. That sounded like a plausible idea considering she didn't want to slack off for the whole day.

Returning to her room, she grabbed a canvas sitting in the corner and a bunch of painting materials. Back when she was Han Yeona, everyone from her small town admired her talent in the field of arts. After 300 years, she continues to hone her talent until she stopped for a short while during the wars.

She sat by her vase of Azalea and began to think of something to paint. And then a garden suddenly entered her mind, ever since Sunoo brought her to the flower shop, her memories related to her mother's garden never escaped her mind. With a complete image of what she wanted to paint, she grabbed her paintbrush and began to pain to her heart's content.

A garden next to a fairly small house that looked awfully comfy. She smiled upon remembering how warm her old house is. Though it was small, she never once complained because her parents worked hard for it. Her hands continued to move in its own volition, not until she found herself painting two figures aside from one.

The first figure stood in the middle, crouching as if admiring the flowers. On the other hand, the second figure leaned on the fence, his head faced towards the other. As Miyoung continued to look at her painting, she jumped when her phone started ringing.

Answering the phone, she presses her phone on her ears. "Hello?" She greets.

"Hey! What are you up to?" She immediately recognized Sunoo's voice from the other line.

Putting her phone in speaker, she places it back in the desk and continued painting. "I'm painting, did you need to tell me anything?"

"Ah not really, I just wanted to call you." He says which made her chuckle. "Oh, what are you painting? I didn't know you could paint."

"Just an old memory." She answered, putting some finishing touches on her painting. "You must be pretty bored if you suddenly called me with nothing to say."

He lets out a laugh. "What memory?"

"Ever since you brought me to that flower shop, I couldn't stop thinking about the garden. Might as well paint it right?" She explains, letting out a sigh of relief once she was finished. "All finished."

"Could you send me a picture, then?" He asks.

"Sure." She says, sending him a picture. "So what do you think about it?"

There was a momentary silence between them that seemed awfully weird. Was he looking intently at her painting? "Who are these figures in your painting?" He asked.

"Oh that's me, while the other one is... I don't know. But he was part of my memory." She explained, looking at the unknown figure.

"It looks very pretty! You're very good at painting, and this artwork is just wow. Are you going to display it?" He compliments which she replied with a thank you. She looked around her wall and noticed there were no place for her to put the painting.

"Now that you think about it, I'll just set it aside. My wall is already full." She replies.

"Then can I have it?" Her eyes widened upon hearing his request. He wanted her painting? She had no problem giving it to him, he was a friend after all but to think he would want it was the confusing part. "If you don't want, it's fine! I just really like it."

She lets out a laugh. "Sure, if you really want it. It would feel nice that someone has my painting displayed in their home."

Maybe this could be his remembrance of hers. No matter how much one wishes, change is inevitable along with the unstoppable move of time. Giving him this painting would feel nice considering he was part of the reason she finally got back this memory of hers.

"Great! I'll display it in my room. I need some decorating to do anyway." He says, gleefully. "Should I get it from you tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow sounds nice. How about the same place we had lunch?" Miyoung suggested.

"Oh my, is that an invite to have lunch with me again?" Sunoo teases, she could almost see his teasing smile which again made her laugh. "Judging from that laugh, I guessed your true motive?"

Going along his joke, a teasing smile appeared from her lips. "You caught me red-handed. So tomorrow?"

"You knew I was joking right?" He suddenly says. "Did your parents not teach you that you can not like someone you only knew for two weeks?"

How was it that someone could make her laugh so much? "I was only joking, come on. Don't flatter yourself, I have lived for 300 years and seen many men, my standards is very high."

"Now I just feel insulted." He adds. "Do you not think I'm attractive?!"

She did find him very attractive, but she had second thoughts admitting it to him, considering the last thing she wanted was to inflate his already big head. "What if I don't? I'm starting to think it's you who like me. Did your parents not teach you that you can not like someone you only knew for two weeks?"

He then lets out a laugh. "Using my words against me now, huh?"

The conversation lasted for so long, she couldn't possibly imagine how long they have been speaking to each other, throwing many sorts of insults at one another. Having this conversation with him brought her back to her adolescence years, it had been so long since she last laughed this hard and to her surprise, it was with a man who had memories of a person she once knew in the past.

And then Sunoo now began to tell her random stories he heard from his old high school friends just to prolong their conversation. Miyoung glanced at the painting, still listening to his story. How was it that someone who she only met two weeks ago could make her feel at ease?
