"Sunoo." He looked at the person and saw Haeun in her black dress.

It was the day of Miyoung's funeral. Chaerin and her husband had finally left, he thought Haeun came with them turns out she was still there. He gave her a small smile before turning his head back to the ground where the love of his life had just been buried.

"I-I wanted to give you this. Before Miyoung passed away, she gave me this and told me to give it to you." She says, handing him a black ring box. "She told me someone gave it to her."

He raised an eyebrow but took the ring box from her hand. Opening the box, his eyes widened when he recognized it was the ring he was supposed to give her. He wondered how she got this ring, he remembered an old lady took it so he couldn't comprehend how it got to her.

"You seem to know the ring." Haeun smiles. "I-I should get going. You must want to be alone."

He nods. "Thank you for giving me this ring, Haeun." She nods before walking away and leaving him alone.  "Death doesn't seem that bad, huh? It's just like sleeping but instead you wake up as another person." He spoke to the ground as if she was there listening to him. "I can say that it's probably one of the most calmest feeling ever. The feeling of numbness, I recall that very much having to experience it multiple times." He chuckles.

"I heard it's going to be a new moon today. Looks like the sun won't be seeing its lover for the day." He says, looking up the sky. "Ah what am I saying? For all I know you're already in your next life."

"I miss you already." He spoke to the wind, wishing that it would be deliver to wherever her soul was.

Sunoo stared again at the ring, wondering what he'll do with it. If he does remember the next life, he can always just bury it in a random place and look for it in the next life. But now he had no assurance if he'll ever recall his past lives again.

"Kim Sunoo." his eyes averted to the woman's voice that had just spoken to him. Familiar. "She has gone to the light now, I'm sure she'll be born again in a few years."

"Do you know her?" He asked.

The old woman grinned. "Of course. I've known her since she was a little kid. And you too, Song Min Jae."

He raised his eyebrows. "Who are you exactly?"

"Must you really know who I am? I think it's completely unnecessary." She says. She crouched to place a pink azalea in the ground. "If you had a choice, would you have let her go?"

He felt uncomfortable talking to the old woman but for some reason, he knew she didn't have any reason to harm him. Not too mention the fact how familiar she was, especially her voice. "If I did have a choice, I would have still chosen to let her go." He answered.

"And why is that?"

"Because for 300 years, she had to watch everyone she considered a family die while she continued to live on. I think it's time for her to be free from that burden." He smiles, sadly. "It would be wrong and selfish of me to make her stay."

She smiles in a proud way. "I see you've learned your lesson. I assume you know the price Yeona had to pay for her immortality, do you want to know what yours was?" His silence served as answer to her question. "In exchange of those memories, I took the ring and her memories of you."
