Third Person POV

A soft meow interrupted Vlad Masters from his thoughts. The billionaire looked down at his feet to see his beloved cat Maddie gently rubbing her head against his pant leg, leaving traces of her white fur behind on the black material. Smiling, Vlad picked up the cat and set her down on his lap where she promptly fell asleep.

"Oh Maddie, whatever would I do without you," he cooed, stroking her soft coat. As Maddie purred in response, Vlad resumed looking over the book that had been translated by the Spirit Tome the previous day. The book, which was apparently called the 'Codex of Creation' held all sorts of knowledge and history of the Ghost Zone and its inhabitants. With some especially detailed parts about the Ghost Zone's origins. Vlad had been obsessing over every word of the Codex, hoping it would give him a clue to who were and where are the mysterious Ancients of the Ghost Zone.

The elder halfa turned the page, fighting off boredom. As exciting it was to finally have an actual clue in regards to the Ancients, the Codex of Creation was a dreadfully boring read. So far all Vlad had learned that the Ancients existed at one point. They were there when the creation of the Ghost Zone happened and then seemed to fade from existence, only appearing here and there as if on a whim. What Vlad did learn, to his dismay, was that not only were there Ancient spirits, but Elder ones as well. What the difference was, he had yet to figure out.

Vlad sighed in annoyance as he finished reading yet another page detailing the oh so wonderful topography of the Ghost Zone. He reached for his cup of tea as he flipped the page, and took a sip. Vlad's eyes widened as he spat out his tea in shock, causing a startled Maddie to hiss and jump off his lap. The halfa reached for a handkerchief to wipe his face as he read over the words on the top of the page.

The Phantom Prophecy.

"A prophecy?" Vlad wondered aloud, a smile growing on his features, "Now we're getting somewhere."

Vlad begin to read over the prophecy, taking in every line and making notes on a separate notepad. The prophecy read,

The Phantom Prophecy

Creatures of death will rise, the living will fall,

One who walks between life and death, the saviour of all,

Captured by death, saved by time

The Prince walks, unaware of his crime

A King without his crown, a bearer of sin

His core, the souls of eight within,

On Day of First Death, two worlds collide,

Presenting destruction and darkness to all who defied,

Find the King, awaiting his throne,

Lest the sins of two worlds be forced to become known

Vlad stared down at the page in wonder. At first glance, the prophecy seemed to be nothing but utter nonsense, but the more he read it over, the more Vlad felt a chill running down his spine. "A saviour that walks between life and death, two worlds colliding and causing destruction, eight souls," Vlad mumbled, writing everything that he could decipher down in his notepad.

The billionaire quickly skimmed through the book, looking for any other mention of this odd prophecy, its connection to the Ancients or even the Elder Spirits, yet found nothing. Only the one tattered page with its strange and foreboding words.
