Para saan pa? Kailangan ko ng pera!

I gritted my teeth. What is he doing with all the money I am giving him?! I gave him enough money for two months because he asked me to but why the hell is he asking me again right now? Ni wala pang isang buwan!

I jumped from my seat when my phone suddenly rang for a call! Iyong unregistered number iyon! I clenched my hand around my phone and I only stared at it as it rang.

What the hell is he doing behind my back? Is he using drugs again?! Kaya mabilis maubos ang pera niya? And is that why he is here in the city because it is more convenient to buy drugs here?!

"Why won't you answer it?"

Napatalon ako at mabilis na napalingon sa katabi. Ni hindi ko napansing umupo siya sa tabi ko!

I immediately turned my phone off and hid it beside me. Tumikhim ako at tuluyan nang nilingon si Theo. He's slightly frowning with his eyes looking at my hand holding the phone earlier before he raised his gaze on me.

"An obsessed fan?" He raised a brow.

My lips parted, shocked of how he thinks before I slowly nodded, agreeing with him to hide the truth. Tumikhim ako.

"I guess so. Unregistered iyong number, eh," I lied and chuckled to cover it up.

He gave me a knowing stare before he clenched his jaw.

"Do you give your number to anyone?"

Kumunot ang noo ko dahil sa tanong niya pero mabilis ring umiling.

"I don't. It's private," I said.

He pursed his lips and his eyes darkened. Kumunot ang noo ko dahil sa biglaang pagbabago ng mood niya. Is he planning to tell me all the embarrassment I did last night?!

"Tell that to your makeup artist. She gave me your number easily," he said seriously.

Ngumuso ako at nagpigil ng ngisi. Nakahinga naman ako ng maluwag. Ang akala ko ay ipapamukha niya na sa akin ang lahat ng ginawa ko kagabi!

"Maybe you intimidated her?" Sarkastikong ika ko.

He frowned. "I didn't even do anything. I just asked her."

I scoffed. Umirap ako at umiling na lang. Kahit naman magsalita lang siya ay maiintimidate na ang kahit sino lalo na si Paula! He's just normally cold and serious that everytime he talks, it speaks danger and authority na tila ba kapag hindi ka sumunod ay ikamamatay mo!

"About the wedding," he said out of nowhere that I stiffened because of how unexpected it is.

Nilingon ko siya. He's sitting on the other end of the sofa while I am also at the other end making our distance in between a bit awkward. Para namang hindi kami nagtabi kagabi, ah.

"I want to do it as soon as possible," sabi niya.

Tumango ako. Naiintindihan ko naman kung bakit niya minamadali. And do I have the right to say no when that is one of the reasons why this contract started, to fulfill the wish of his mother for her to finally accept her treatment to another country.

"We'll start preparing after a week of you living here. Do you have a wedding gown designer in mind?" He asked, bahagyang bumaba ang tingin niya sa distansiya namin.

Ngumuso ako. "I'll try to ask Tito Rey."

Damn it. I feel awkward by how our talk seems so peaceful that it feels so surreal.
