Tortured distorted screaming I hear,
As I walk by a chamber of my own prison.
I peek through the pane, into pleading, scarred eyes
And I know that fervent fear had surely risen.Lying idle and lifeless
All covered in red
While the slayer seemed to flee the cell,
She stayed frozen in bed.Out of pity I sang her away to her new home;
A mellow lullaby to ease her affliction.
The menace lingered, lurking around
Seeking another soul to gratify their addiction.As I coax the torpid I wonder
Who the next victim will be,
Who will be slaughtered and ripped away
From their oases by reality.
