As Dusk Falls Again

As dusk falls again,
Chasing the day away,
The light of my room fades,
And I'm left in the gloaming.

The body drifts off to slumber,
Charging for the day to come,
And all of my limbs go numb;
Time for myself to start roaming.

As I'm whisked away within my psyche,
Taken on a journey with me as my guide,
The ocean of the mind pulls me in with the tide,
Beckoning me to explore.

But as I dive deeper into the blue,
Practically sinking as I'm floating down,
I can't resist thinking, as I start to drown,
If I'll make it back to shore.
