Dream woke up feeling exhilarated yet utterly confused. George went from kissing him in the rain weeks ago, then ignoring him for days, mending their relationship to stay friends, (but getting upset that Sapnap left) and now he's being physically affectionate? Dream's head spun at the mixed signals his best friend was giving him. He knew what he wanted and would do anything to have it, but it seemed like George had no idea what he wanted. The back and forth process gnawed at what little patience Dream had left. It was especially tiring when he spent his nights lying awake, sometimes crying to himself or doing anything to get George off his mind.

Trying to rub the sleep from his eyes, Dream made his way to George's room to wake him for the day he had planned. Well, not necessarily fully planned. He really just wanted an excuse to take George out, so when the opportunity to ask him presented itself last night, Dream took it. He had then spent the next hour on his laptop looking for things they could do. Thankfully, with a few Google searches he was able to plan a day together that he hopes George would enjoy.

"Wake up, we gotta get the day started" Dream whispered to the brunette, softly shaking his shoulder. After no response, he shook slightly harder.

No movement except the rise and fall of George's chest.

"GEORGE" Dream raised his voice, startling the older awake. George's eyes flew wide open and he shot up in bed, scanning his surroundings. His eyes landed on Dream with a glare.

"You're an ass you almost scared me to death" George groaned, throwing a hand over his eyes to shield the sunlight pouring into his room.

"Don't be dramatic. You wouldn't wake up so I had to opt for a loud option"

"Dream, you're ridiculous...." George peered at the time on his phone, "it's only 12pm! You could've let me sleep in longer"

"But then we wouldn't get to start the coolest day ever that I have planned" Dream laughed, striding to the curtains and pulling them wide open. He wasn't usually a morning person, but his giddiness gave him a burst of energy.

"Coolest day ever? You sound so lame" George scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"Whatever just get ready and meet me downstairs in a bit." Dream smiled at the boy in happiness despite his lack of enthusiasm.

After about half an hour of preparing for the day, Dream walked into the front living area wearing light blue denim shorts, a white t-shirt and black high top converse. He scrolled on Twitter while waiting for George, silently chuckling at ridiculous fan tweets that ended up on his timeline.

"dream has the juiciest dumptruck i've ever seen"

He shook his head in amusement. I mean, they're technically not wrong.

The light tapping of shoes broke him from his social media trance, and he glanced up to see his pretty best friend ready to go. George had on a pink kawaii t-shirt with a milk carton on it, white cotton sweat shorts and yeezy ultra boosts. The outfit was comfy and oversized, making Dream bite his tongue to hold back from calling him adorable. After sitting down for a quick breakfast of eggs and toast, Dream stood up and made his way around the table to George.

"You ready to go there, strawberry?" Dream teased him, poking at the bright red strawberries  displayed on parts of his shirt.

"Don't touch me," George swatted his hand away, pretending to be annoyed "and I would be more ready if I knew where you were taking me."

Dream gleamed at him with fond eyes.

"Patience is key Georgie"

The drive there was longer than George expected, over an hour. He was impatient the entire way there, constantly asking Dream things like "how much longer?" and "can i play a song?". Eventually Dream told him to stop asking questions and gave him the aux cord.
