I heard a soft giggle then felt small hands on my chest. My eyes slowly opened and I saw Lindsey standing above me with aurora staring down at me with a big smile on her face
"Hello my loves" I said
"Good morning sleepy head"Lindsey said. She bent down and kissed me. She laid aurora on my chest. I held her with one arm and opened the other for Lindsey. She crawled under the blankets and laid against me. I yawned and kissed her head
"Mhm you're warm and you smell good"I said
"I try" Lindsey said. I smiled.
"Happy 2 month birthday babygirl" I said as I tickled Auroras belly. She gurgled
"God I can't believe it's been 2 months already" Lindsey said
"I know it's crazy" I said.
"Can we celebrate just us today?I feel like being lazy"she said.
"Of course we can love" I said. She kissed my chest
"Are you okay?" I asked
"Yeah"she said. She's lying. She's a good liar but I know her
"What's wrong" I said. I softly started rubbing her side
"Nothings wrong yet I was just in my own head this morning. I started thinking about my dad then I started thinking about cancer and I started thinking about how tate was loaded and didn't show any symptoms and I got in my own head about the same thing happening to aurora but I'm okay now. I snapped myself out of it" she said.
"I promise everything is going to be fine. We're going to bring her to all of her doctors appointments,we're going to watch out for the signs and when she's old enough to understand we'll explain it to her and make sure she knows that even though she's an adult she still needs to be responsible and stay ontop of things" I said.
"This is why I love you"she said softly. I kissed her head and pulled her closer.
"How'd you sleep?"I asked
"Good. She only woke up twice and the first time was because dodger stuck his tongue in and licked her foot" she said.
"Why didn't you wake me up" I said
"Because I'm used to only sleeping for a few hours a night anyways. You have important things to do during the day. I can function on little to no sleep. You can't" she said
"I know but I'm just as much in this as you are Lindz. I don't want you to have to do everything" I said
"We do it equally"she said.
"Come on I made breakfast" she said. She sat up and stretched
"I love stretching" she said. I chuckled
"That's why you're so tall" I said
"Climb me like a tree bitch" she smirked.
"Gladly" I said. I sat up and aurora gurgled
"Oh I know it's such a hard life" I said in a baby voice. I kissed her head and stood up. We walked into the kitchen and I laid aurora on her tummy time machine. It holds her and gently rocks her while she's on her tummy.
I sat at the island and Lindsey slid a plate over to me
"Thank you love" I said
"You're very welcome" she said. She set up my phone and went live. She made coffee and sat next to me.
"Hi guys" she waved. I waved because I had food in my mouth.
"Aurora is good shes having tummy time right now" Lindsey said as she read the chat.
"Did I give you the syrup?" She asked as she looked at me. I nodded and kissed her cheek. She giggled
"What?" I asked.
"Whipped cream on your beard" she said as she wiped it off. She started talking to the chat again and a few minutes later I got a piece of waffle stuck in my throat. I started choking. Lindsey looked at me
"Are you choking?" She asked. I shook my head and tried to play it off. She stood up and went behind me
"You're okay,you're okay" she said. She started doing the Heimlich on me. On the 5th pump the waffle flew from my throat and I caught my breath. Lindsey rubbed my back
"There we go. You're alright it's okay"she said in a relieved tone.
"You're alright" she said softly. She kissed the back of my head.
"Take a sip of water" she said softly as she handed me my water. I took a few sips of water
"Are you alright?"she asked. I nodded And let out a nervous laughter
"And this is why I always yell at you to slow down" she said as she rubbed my back.
"Thank you darling" I said. She sat back down next to me
"You can't die on me yet evans" she said. She kissed my cheek. I reached for the fork
"ACHT" she said in her stern voice
"Hey garbage disposal take a break for a second the food will still be there when your esophagus opens back up"she said. I chuckled and took a few more sips of water.
"Not a day goes by where this man doesn't give me a fricken heart attack" she said as she looked at the live. I kissed her head and out my hand on her leg
"I have the best wife in the entire world" I said. When I thought she wasn't looking I took another bite of the waffle
"You do realize that I can see everything you're doing out of my peripheral vision and also the camera right infront of us" she said.
"Oh yeah" I said. She just smiled and shook her head.
"Thank you guys yes it is auroras 2 month birthday" Lindsey said
"Our baby's growing up so fast" I said
"She looks more like Chris than she does me thank god. But I think she's getting my height sadly" Lindsey said as she read a comment asking who she looks more like. Lindsey and I have avoided putting auroras face online just for privacy and safety reasons.
"Don't get me wrong I love my height and there's nothing wrong with being tall but it took me a very long time to come to terms with it especially when it came to bullying and with the bullying came being told I was going to die alone because no guy wanted to date the tall freak. Moral of the story is that there's nothing wrong with being tall but it's going to kill me watching my daughter go through the same torment I did" Lindsey said.
"But one day I know she'll find a wonderful boyfriend. Or even girlfriend,whoever she loves we don't care as long as she's happy and safe,I know that one day she'll find someone that loves and appreciates her and that shows her and tells her how beautiful she is everyday just like I did"She said as she rested her head on my shoulder. I smiled
"Lets be honest though I'm the real winner" I said.
"Yeah I'm pretty great" she said. She grabbed a sausage from my plate and ate it. I just smirked
"Don't even" she said
"I didn't say anything"I said
"You were thinking it" she said. She looked at me and I looked at her.
"I love you" I said softly
"I love you" she said softly. She kissed me
"I want my baby" I said. I got up and grabbed aurora.
"Big stretches just like momma" I said as she stretched. She looked up at me and I smiled
"Hello my cutie"I said. I walked over and sat next to Lindsey.
"Hello my sweetheart" Lindsey said softly. I made sure her face stayed towards us for privacy and safety
"Such a pretty girl" I said. She gurgled and squealed
"She just said 'I know bitch' in baby" Lindsey said. I laughed
"Alright guys I think that's been enough time for the live. You watched me save Chris's life so have fun with that" Lindsey said. I chuckled
"Bye guys" I waved. Lindsey waved and ended it.
"Ooo can you crack my back"she said
"I can break your back" I smirked
"Later" she said. I laid aurora in her play pen.
"Cross" I said. Lindsey crossed her arms over her chest
"Up" I said. She lifted her right leg and I pulled her bottom half to the left and her top half to the right. Her back cracked and I did the same to the other side
"Ugh that feels so much better thank you baby"She said
"You're very welcome love" I said. I picked aurora up. She was just mindlessly babbling to herself
"Just like her daddy" Lindsey chuckled
"Hey I don't talk to myself that much" I said. She raised her eyebrows
"Sweetheart yes you do"she said
"Okay maybe I do"I said.  Someone knocked on the front door. I of course got protective and pulled Lindsey behind me as we walked to the door
"My protector"she said softly. I smiled. That was cute
"I'm here to steal and spoil" my mom said as I opened the door
"Hey Lisa" Lindsey smiled
"Hey babydoll" my mom said. They hugged
"I'm going to spoil my grand baby" she said.
"I'll go pack the bag"Lindsey said. She walked away
"Are you sure ma?"I asked
"Yes and you two deserve some alone time"she said
"Thank you" I said. She winked
"Give me some more grand babies"she said
"I want to give Lindsey more time to recover"I chuckled
"That girl had her first child at 20 with no epidural and no blood family by her side. That is the strongest little girl I've ever met" she said. I nodded
"She's incredible" I said. Lindsey came back
"Alright everything is packed. I have a few bottles of breast milk in there. She takes the bottle really well as long as there's breast milk. Then of course if you need anything just call" Lindsey said. I buckled aurora into her car seat
"Be good for grandma" I said softly. I kissed her head and Lindsey did the same.
"If there are any issues don't hesitate to call" Lindsey said
"I won't"my mom said. She picked up the bag and the carrier and we watched her walk down to her car. She gave a little honk before driving away. I closed the door
"We're alone" I said
"You know what that means" Lindsey smirked. We both ran to the couch
"IM BRADY" she yelled as she grabbed a controller
"NO IM BRADY" I yelled as I grabbed the other one. She put on madden and we started playing football
