A Grimm Invasion

When I got to Amity Colosseum, the first thing I did was look for Ruby. To my surprise I could find her anywhere. I even asked around, but nobody's seen her.

"Where are you, Ruby?" I murmured to myself. I looked towards the arena when the match between Pyrrha and Penny was about to begin.

I'm sure she's around her somewhere, so she'll turn up eventually, right? I decided to take my seat and watch the match.

The fight between Penny and Pyrrha was getting intense and I was almost certain this was going to turn out as a draw.

Just as Pyrrha lost her sword and shield, she used her semblance and the wires from Penny's swords wrapped around her body.

My eyes widened in terror when her body was torn apart. I gasped with my hands over my mouth. "P-Penny...?" I said disbelief.

Unknowingly, tears fell down my cheeks.

"This is not a tragedy." A voice said over the microphone, and I instantly recognized it. "Cinder?" I murmured. "This was not an accident. This is what happens when you hand over your trust. Your safety. Your children. To men who claim to be our guardians. But are, in reality... nothing more than men," Cinder announced.

"Our Academies' headmasters wield more power than most armies and one was audacious enough to control both. They cling to this power in the name of peace, and yet, what do we have here? One nation's attempt at a synthetic army, mercilessly torn apart by another's star pupil. What need would Atlas have for a soldier disguised as an innocent little girl? I don't think the Grimm can tell the difference. And what, I ask you, is Ozpin teaching his students? First a dismemberment, now this? Huntsmen and Huntresses should carry themselves with honor and mercy. Yet I have witnessed neither. Perhaps Ozpin as though defeating Atlas in the tournament would help people forget his colossal failure to protect Vale when the Grimm invaded its streets. Or perhaps, this was his message to the tyrannical dictator that has occupied an unsuspecting kingdom with armed forces. Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue as to who is right and who is wrong. But I know that the existence of peace is fragile. And the leaders of our Kingdoms conduct their business with iron gloves. As someone who hails from Mistral, I can assure you; the situation there is... equally undesirable. Our Kingdoms are at the brink of war. Yet we, the citizens, are left in the dark. So I ask you... when the first shots are fired... who do you think you can trust?"

I looked up when a Nevermore suddenly appeared and tried breaking through the shield around Amity Colosseum. "Oh no..." I whispered.

"Lily, you have to get out of here!" Ren said. "Go! Now!" Jaune instructed. I couldn't move. I was too shocked by what happened to Penny, I just couldn't move my body.

No... No, this can't be happening! It can't...! I thought.

"Lily!"

I blinked my eyes, snapping out of it. I have to run. I have to get out of here. I thought to myself. I made a run for it, but I didn't know where to go.

My sisters! I need to find them! I ran into the streets of Vale and called for them. "Ruby? Yang!" I called loudly.

I don't think I was going to find them because there were flames everywhere and people running from the Grimm. I need to get to higher ground.

I climbed a ladder of a nearby building and got to the roof. To my surprise, Emerald, Mercury, and Cinder were there.

"What... What are you doing here?" I asked. "Lily," Cinder smirked. "So glad you could join us."

"You did this? But why? How could you?" I said in disbelief. "But this is what you wanted," She stated, the smirk not leaving her face.

"Your Grimm are roaming freely, and no one is hurting them or hunting them down."

"But I didn't want this! I didn't want anyone to get hurt!" I said. "You should've thought of that sooner. When you want something bad enough, some things need to be sacrificed." Cinder said.

My eyes widened when she said that. I took a couple steps back before running away, horrified.

Did I cause this? Am I the reason for this? No, that can't be. I didn't do this. I couldn't have. This isn't what I wanted.

I have to find my sisters. I need to make sure they're okay.
