Chapter 26

Time Lapse~ 7th Year

In the summer before 7th year, I stayed at the Durleys with Harry but near the end of the summer we stayed with the Weasleys. Me and Mattheo sent letters all summer and it made me happy. With everything that happened in 6th year, talking to Mattheo has taken my mind off it. Since Dumbledore was murdered, Snape has became the new head master if Hogwarts which not alot of people are happy about.

"So Y/n, how's Riddle?" Hermione asked.

"Oh, shut up." I scoff.

"Well, you have been sending him letters all summer." She rolled her eyes.

Well, it is true. We have been sending letters all summer. Every single day. It was nice though since we couldn't see eachother.

"Well, he is my boyfriend." I said sarcastically.

"I still think your in danger with him." She said as if he was a criminal.

Well, technically his father's a criminal but he's a good person.

"Danger? The whole time I've been here I've been in danger!" I throw my hands in the air out of frustration.

"Speaking of danger, we need to find the horcruxes." Harry slyly butts in.

"Well, when do we start?" I sigh.

Hermione laughs at my words. What did i even say that was funny?

"What's so funny?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Its not that simple." Harry answered instead.

"If it's not that simple then we might as well start now." I scoff trying to be smart.

"Now?" Ron laughs.

Yeah, I get it. We have literally just arrived to Hogwarts but I just want this all over and done with.

"We have literally just got here." Hermione said.

"I know but we can't waste any time." I say, trying to convince them."Look, if we are going to defeat you-know-who then we are going to need all the help we can get. Making him weaker will help us." I say in a quiet tone so no one else could hear apart from us.

"She's right." Ron sighs, finally accepting that I'm right

I stare over at Harry's direction but not at him, I stare at the Slytherin table. I need to tell Mattheo, I just have to.

Harry, Hermione and Ron all look over to him as they saw I was staring.

"You can't tell him Y/n." Hermione said.

"What am I supposed to say?" I fold my arms.

"Nothing. The less people know, the better." She pats my shoulder.

I can't tell him nothing. He will be do suspicious and it's hard for me to keep secrets.

"Nothing? Really?" I ask, hoping that will let me tell him.

"Yes Y/n, nothing." Hermione said as the three got up and left the table. I stood up to join them as they were probably heading off to the Gryffindor room but I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Mattheo. Great.

"Hey, Y/n." He greeted me.

"Hey." I replied awkwardly.

"What's up?" He asks with a big smile.

"I have to leave for a while. I can't explain but I'll be back soon!" I blurted out. I really just said that.

"Where are you going? Why can't you explain?" He asked, confusingly.
