Giant Sequoia Tree

It's so easy for you to point fingers
To call me heartless and unkind
To think I don't understand --
To think I never did.

You see, I was there before you.
I endured the storm.
You're simply enjoying the rainbow
While I willingly drowned in the floods.

I am the giant sequoia tree
You're simply the callery pear.

You'd never last a day in my shoes.
