Rose's P.O.V

I was chilling in the park from last night, having my earphones on and the song playing was 'Butter' by BTS.

I've been listening to this one for a long time now. It's a really good song. As I was listening to it, I suddenly started hearing some faint screams.

I took off my earphones and looked around to see a woman in the middle of the road, crying and screaming with a small boy laying down on her lap, covered with blood. She was crying so hard and slowly, people started surrounding her.

There was a car near them and I guess it was the one that maybe hit the boy but they quickly drove away, which proved my thoughts to be true.

I walked up to the crowd and made my way towards the woman. I sat down on my knees and put a hand on the boy's chest. I could feel his heart beating slowly, letting me know he was alive.

"Somebody please help me!" She was crying and panting really hard but no one, not a single person decided to move an inch, let alone call the ambulance. I quickly grabbed my phone and dialled the emergency number. Very soon, they picked up and I told them everything.

A few minutes later, the ambulance arrived at the scene and some people came out of it, hurrying towards us. They quickly picked the little boy up and put him on the bed inside the ambulance.

Me and the woman, too went in the ambulance and they drove away.

The women was shaking while tears ran down her face. Soon, we pulled up to the hospital and left the ambulance. The nurses came rushing towards us and hurriedly took the boy inside, towards the operation theatre.

"He is safe now. The injury was minor, so there's no need to worry. He'll wake up in a little while. You can go see him if you want." The doctor said after he came out of the theatre some time later and walked away.

"Thank you. Thank you so much for helping me. I don't know what would've happened if you weren't there." The woman said to me with tears in her eyes and a small smile on her face after she turned around to me and held my hand with both of hers in a tight grip.

"I wasn't the one who helped. God helped him, not me. I just did what I felt was right." I replied.

"You're really a kind person, dear. What's your name?" She said as she wiped her tears.

"Rose. Is that your son?" I replied.

"Beautiful name for a beautiful person, and yeah, he's my son, Aaron. He's 6." She told me and I could see her eyes filled with kindness.

We went inside the room a while later and approached her son who had already woken up and was staring at the ceiling.

She smiled at her son and cupped her cheeks in her hands,  kissing his forehead.

"Momma? Why are you sad?" He asked, slowly sitting up and staring in his mother's eyes, his eyes sparkling with innocence.

"I'm not crying, baby. How are you feeling?" She replied.

"I'm good, but my head has a bandage around it. It hurts a little." He replied.

"Don't worry, baby. It'll be alright." She told him and his eyes fell on me.

"Momma, who is that?" He asked her.

"She's the one who saved you. When you got hurt, she helped us." She replied and he showed me his doe eyes and smiled brightly at me.

"So she's an angel? Or she's my sister?" He asked happily.

"Uh, well yeah. She's an angel. Her name is Rose." She replied, sitting down on a chair beside his bed and I got lost in my thoughts.
