•20• Safe But Hurt

Jungkook was pacing back and forth in the wide drawing room area of their mansion.Everyone was just looking at him worriedly.

"Jungkook,it's fine.We didn't have any other choice.We had to..." Jin was saying.

"No! This was not meant to be like that.It was never meant to be like that.Why...why did we have to drug her to bring her here? You...you guys saw right how afraid she looked when we injected her..."
Jungkook gripped his head tightly pulling on his hair as the frustration kept him pushing to the point of losing his mind.

Flashback(1 hour ago)

Her breath hitched as she heard the door opening again.But to her surprise rather terror, she saw some men entering.They looked familiar.They were the ones from that photograph.

"Hey! Don't worry.We're here to save you."

"Don't panic dear!"

"It'll be alright.Really!"

"No one will save you."

"Everyone will only use you and throw you away."

"You're not meant to be loved.You are meant to be broken,little by little."

The voices of them and the voices in her head from her past started colliding making her panic and she got startled at the sudden sounds. Suddenly ,she felt them coming towards her with sick grins plastered on their faces.She backed away hastily and her body started shaking in fear.She joined her hands in front of them as if begging them but her throat was too sore to let any sound escape.Suddenly it became difficult for her to bear those harsh noises playing in her mind like a broken radio.She began to hallucinate the events which triggered her the most.She felt hands gliding over her body, the impact of clothes leaving her skin felt so real as if it was really happening but in actual it wasn't.She was holding her head in immense pain and her eyes were shedding a stream of tears and her condition was worsening little by little as she started scratching the skin of her arms imprinting red spots on her skin.Suddenly she felt a sting on her arm as Jin injected the drug in her body making her lose her consciousness at instant. The pain subsided as she drifted in complete unconsciousness.As per them Jungkook was standing out of the room at the door as they insisted cause they knew if he'd come he wouldn't let them drug her as initially also he was against the idea.But they didn't know that Jungkook was watching everything standing by the door but stopping himself for her sake only.His heart broke into million pieces seeing her like that in such a frightened and panicked state.

Flashback ends.

After some time, Jungkook relaxed but then too he was dealing with a storm of emotions.He wanted to protect her right now and stay with her but at the same time ,he also wanted to just go and burn down that whole hotel not caring about its consequences.

After a while,he finally spoke

"I should go and check on her.You guys also go and freshen up and take care of Jimin hyung also." he said as they just looked at him with gloomy faces as they knew how badly he was hurting right now seeing the girl he loves in this state.

He entered his room where she was lying on the bed with a duvet covering her body.He couldn't tell if the drug's effect was gone or not and if she was sleeping or still in unconscious state.He stood by the doorway glancing at her face.Her face still looked so pure inspite of the bruises and marks. He looked at her arms peeking out of the duvet and saw dried blood on them.He quickly ran to her and inspected her arms and found the injuries on her arm due to her vigorous scratching by nails. He reached out for the first aid box and was going to treat her wounds but just then he felt her shivering a bit.

He touched her forehead to check for fever and he realised she was burning in high temperature.He quickly arranged a bowl of water with a towel and wiped her face firstly and then her body with the towel.It took him a moment to wipe her gently not wanting to hurt her wounds.

As he was wiping her hand, she suddenly stirred in her sleep and woke up at the impact of his hand touching hers.As she woke up, she backed away from him. She looked like a lost child afraid of everyone around her.Her small hands were supporting the duvet on her small frame as she tried to sit up but her body was paining too much so a painful yelp escaped her mouth.

"Ah!"

His eyebrows furrowed in confusion when she still kept looking at him with fear and no sense of familiar expression.He wanted to ask her what happened when he left.He wanted to hug her again making her feel the warmth she was lacking since such a long time but she was too scared to have any sense of contact with him.He knew like this he wouldn't be able to treat her or help her so he showed her that he was leaving.Her shoulders which were tensed till now dropped a little in relief when he left but as he saw that while closing the door, he felt a heavy weight placed on his chest.

'She was afraid of me near her.'

He thought as he went down and sat on the sofa.He quickly contacted their friend who was a doctor by profession.She was always ready to help them whenever they called and she was least bothered by the fact that they were mafias cause she knew that they never harmed the not guilty ones.

And whenever she needed some help, they were ready to lend a hand. It was not long ago when a patient tried to intimidate her with his money and power trying to make her do some illegal work and that time she didn't even asked these guys for help but they got to know about the thing when she got drunk and blabbered everything in front of them.And as they heard that that someone was giving her a hard time , they were ready to put that person in place and after that, he not only never contacted her but apologised to her at first. So that good of friends they are.

"Hello, Jennie." Jungkook called her cause he knew only she was close enough to them to keep this thing a secret.
