Ayden

ALL I thought of while running down the dimly lit street was the text message. I had spent over five minutes brushing and now I needed to reach my destination in time.

It was a long run but I could endure; perks of having an athletic and determined mindset - and body.

"Andrews!" I called out as I furiously banged his front door, "I know your parents aren't around, goddamn just open the fucking door!"

I should have something other than my pyjamas because I was shivering at this point.

"It's one in the morning," Jason grumbled and unwillingly opened his front door to let me in his house. Studying the interior walls of his house as I walked in, I noticed that nothing really changed...apart from him. "I don't have cash if that's what-"

"I need your help with a girl," I blurted out not wanting to waste any more of his time.

He arched a brow, "What did you do?"

I hurriedly explained everything to him in one breath, "I've been talking with this girl online for a while now and I kinda lied to her about my lifestyle and now she's in town visiting her grandma and expects to see some 'mafia' guy."

He chuckled darkly at my state and at that point I felt like storming out of his house, but he was the only one who could help me so I needed to humble myself.

"Are you helping me or not?" I questioned trying so hard to hold the anger back in.

"Your anger got you here in the first place, and trust me it won't get you out. You need me," he stated with pride.

As much as I hated it, he was right and I needed to cool off, be humble.

"You get something out of it too," I informed him which got his attention, "You know that college girl that dumped you because of your grades?"

"You don't have to be that specific, Sanders."

I shrugged in response and continued, "I can tutor you if you help me with this girl."

He pondered on whether to say yes or no while I anxiously waited, not wanting to seem desperate even though I was.

"Fine. But she better be worth it."

Oh, trust me she is.

Oh, trust me she is
