AMELIA and I had decided to meet up at a fast-food restaurant immediately after school. She had told me not to stress myself and that she would find the place herself.
"Amelia!" I called out for her to come to the booth where I sat at.
She smiled as she approached my booth - she had the kind of smile that reached her eyes, always.
"Sorry I took so long, I couldn't find this place," she apologized as she sat across me. I shrugged off her apology with a smile.
She picked up the menu. "For a small town, you have a lot of fast-food restaurants," she commented as her eyes browsed the various food options.
I observed as her brows furrowed and she fiddled with her hair absentmindedly. So much about her reminded me of Rielle, my sister.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer." She smirked evilly causing me to avert my gaze to the menu in front of me.
Oh shit.
"You feel yourself too much - plus, I was checking out the menu and not you," I stated and was forced to roll my eyes when she dramatically fanned herself to show how hot she was.
I chuckled to myself which made a grin appear on her face.
She was nothing like the girls at Ridgewood which was one of the many things that I admired about her. The girls at Ridgewood were all so insecure, making sure they didn't say anything to piss the boys off.
Amelia on the other hand wasn't going to dumb herself down just to get unnecessary attention from guys. She was straightforward, beautiful, funny, and could be rude at times yet I was falling head over heels for her.
She dared to be different - bold step if you ask me.
A waitress walked up to us with a frown etched on her face as she rudely demanded our orders.
I loved the customer service here.
We both ordered and engaged in light conversations while we waited for our orders to come which didn't take as long as I expected.
I got a king-sized burger and strawberry flavored milkshake while Amelia got two bowls of fries, a king-sized burger, and strawberry flavored milkshake.
My eyes widened as I eyed her food, "Wow, you came hungry." I chuckled as she grinned wickedly.
"You bet I did, and I hope you came with your wallet because you're paying," she joked causing both of us to erupt into a fit of laughter.
She looked me dead in the our as she stopped laughing, "No, I'm serious."
