"SO what's her name?" Jason asked as he escorted me to his front door.
To my surprise, we hadn't spent up to seven minutes planning the necessary. I guess all we needed was to shove our pride to the edge and assist each other. I hated to admit it but I needed his help more than he needed mine.
"Amelia. Why?" I questioned suspiciously as I arched a brow. He hadn't seen her neither did I tell him much about her, yet I was still paranoid about him trying to steal her from me.
He snorted out loud, "I asked because I was curious to know her name."
I couldn't be blamed for feeling paranoid whenever I'm around Jason, he always had a way of stealing things that belong to me.
Clenching my fist, I marched out his front door and onto the dimly lit streets as I headed towards the direction of my house where the warmth of bed awaited me.
The drive to the airport had me anxious as I prayed inwardly for the ground to open up and swallow me. Don't be confused, I was happy and excited about her arrival but I wished she hadn't told me on such short notice. She wanted it to be a surprise and I'm sure of that but it was more of a death message to me than a romantic gesture.
Rain splattered against the windows of the taxi. My anxiety increased with every passing minute. To worsen my state, we drove past a flower shop which reminded me that I came empty-handed.
Hell, I didn't even have a car of my own.
Immediately the taxi stopped, I paid the driver before I practically ran inside the airport. My eyes scanned the airport and to my dismay, there was no sign of the brown-haired girl with hazel eyes.
I really hoped she didn't bail on me.
