June 19th, or Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, and Emancipation Day, is a holiday observed in the United States to celebrate the emancipation of those who had been enslaved.
In celebration of Juneteenth, we're holding a contest for stories reflecting the theme of freedom while honoring some of our favorite quotes from African-American classic authors!

↠ Story must contain one of the four sentences provided above in their story and have the sentence in italics. (Example: All that you touch You Change. All that you Change Changes you. The only lasting truth Is Change.)
↠ Length: Maximum of three thousand words.
SO, HOW DOES IT WORK?
The short story will consist of maximum of three thousand words. You are allowed to separate the story into chapters if you like, but the total amount can not exceed three thousand words. It can either be in it's own book or in an existing book consisting of short stories, but make sure to title the chapter. (Example: Title of Contest)
Make sure to fill out the form! It will be easier for us by providing a link to your story so we can get the results out quicker! You will be asked the word count. If it's over three thousand words, we can not accept your submission.
