Prologue

NARRATOR POV

In the heart of Vacuo lived a large but poor Family. They moved from town to town living in the desert always moving. But today they stayed in one town as the Mother was about to have her sixth child. Being the last child that she would ever have the Family called it a miracle he was even born. The boy was named Gilgamesh after his great, great Grandfather the former King of Vacuo. For the first five years of his life the boy was pampered by both his Mother and Father telling him he was to be the great deliverer that would help their people escape from slavery. You see when the Boys great, great Grandfather was overthrown their people were then used as slaves to compensate for the actions they had committed. Only few escaped and are still hunted to this day. The siblings of Gilgamesh grew hateful toward their new Brother and soon enough...sold him to a slaver. He was then put to work as a slave but his mind was already made up. He believed himself to be greater than any man women or child in the world. That they were simply dirt under his boot. He would often remind the other slaves and even the gaurds. They would all beat him down for it. However, that all changed once his Semblance manifested. The Gates of Babylon, a seemingly infinite place full of the great treasures of the world collected by his ancestors years ago. Once he escaped he set out in hope's of not being just a King in title alone. Though the boy was only ten he made his way to Vale and was found by the Headmaster of Beacon who had taken a interest in his strange Semblance. Ozpin and Glynda were looking at a news reports of Gilgamesh.

Ozpin:I have seen this before...

Glynda:what do you mean?

Ozpin:his Semblance from what I remember it was named...the Gates of Babylon. Inside a treasury of the worlds finest weapons, food, alcohol and so on

Glynda:who had this Semblance?

Ozpin:the former King of Vacuo. King Gilgamesh

Glynda:but he was overthrown

Ozpin:yes but if this boy is related to him then he may be next in line for the throne

Glynda:well we obviously cannot leave him to his own devices

Ozpin:then we shall collect him and bring him here

NARRATOR POV

After a long and annoying conversation with Gilgamesh he agreed to come along to Beacon. Glynda took him in and raised him as a son. He grew to love her as a Mother but never said it out loud to anyone. He was to Prideful for that. And now the Prideful, egotistical Gilgamesh is attending Beacon...what will happen now?
