chapter five: stuck with him

"Would you like some tea?"

Sakura set a tray of teacups and a silver teapot on the table in front of Y/N.

"Oh, no thank you." Y/N hung her head.

Y/N, just yesterday, made a deal with a particular ghost.

The deal was for him to stop hurting the supernaturals; the price being to spy on a certain someone for him.

Never had she imagined this would happen.

"My name is Tsukasa, by the way!" Tsukasa grinned at her. "How about you?"

"L/N Y/N.. Hajimemashite.." The girl nervously answered. The quick change of his personality stunned her.

Only a few minutes ago he was about to go on an apparition killing-spree.

But now the boy in front of her was now spinning in the air, happy-go-lucky.

"What a bipolar ghost.."

After all of that had happened, Tsukasa forced Y/N to join the Broadcasting Club.

"I mean, you're sort of with us now, so you'll have to join the club!" He raised his arms out in the open.

"You aren't in a club anyway, right, Y/N?"

True, she now had to spy on her friend, Yashiro Nene. So it would be more convenient for her to be in the club that her senpai Sakura, and Tsukasa were in to reduce suspicions.

But she was still very confused.

Why was it that Tsukasa wanted her to scout the large-ankled girl? It's not like Yashiro was keeping anything from anyone. Even more so would be someone that a supernatural would be threatened by.

Which was why Y/N didn't mind what he tasked her to do, in exchange for what she had requested of the boy.

It wasn't as if her friend had something to hide. It was a pretty good deal, if she said so herself.

Since, after she was done spying on her friend and proving that Yashiro was just a regular high schooler, Sakura and Tsukasa would (hopefully) not do anything to Yashiro and they would also let Y/N go. Then, she could go back to how the way things were AND they wouldn't hurt the Mokke, or other apparitions ever again, as promised.

Also,

Teru wouldn't have to find out about all.. of this.

Weirdly enough, ever since Y/N joined, the ghost always stuck with her.

Just this morning, when she went to visit Sakura for morning announcements, Tsukasa had deliberately almost given Y/N a heart attack.

"Y/N!" The ghost threw himself onto Y/N's back, who recently entered the Broadcasting Room.

The girl squealed from the boy, nuzzling into her hair.

She stood frozen, not knowing how to react.

Didn't this boy, a day ago, looked as if he wanted to slaughter her on sight?
