Oh! Darling! was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney for the album Abbey Road. It is sung by Paul as my god did he make it sound amazing.
It such a powerful love song and every time I listen to it I fall in love with Paul's voice all over again.
The middle section when he gave that roughness to his voice is something else. It's definitely one of my favourite songs on the album, tied with Here Comes The Sun.
The one down side to it, and yes I have found a down side, is that It's followed by Octopus's Garden. Now, I have no words for that song but, what the hell was everyone thinking. Ringo co wrote it with John and Paul but he also sang it. Why the hell is Ringo singing about being in an octopus's garden in the shade? I have to give Ringo credit he did try co writing a song.
Anyway, back to Oh Darling. I will never get tired of that song it is wonderful. Paul is just amazing but so are the others. It really shows their ability as a band even though there are some album fillers on the album.
