Forbidden Love

Part 5

It's been a couple weeks and my mom still hasn't been home. Adam has been staying with me as much as possible without his parents getting suspicious. He was trying to 'take care' of me and I hated it. I didn't need someone watching over me like this but we had a talk and he understands now. I've been feeling weird though, not like myself lately. I didn't know what was wrong but I couldn't make a doctors appointment without my mom and we weren't speaking. I was currently getting ready to go to school but I had no motivation to look presentable so I put on leggings and one of Adam's sweatshirts with my jordan 1s. I walked downstairs and waited outside for Adam to pick me up. He's been giving me rides to school lately.

"Hey." I said getting in the car. "What's wrong? You don't look too hot." He said placing his hand on my forehead to check my temp. "No fever, that's good" he smiles and begins driving to school. "Maybe I have the flu or something. I feel sick but not too bad" I lay back in the car seat. "Maybe you shouldn't go to school." I shake my head, "I'm okay. I can't fall behind, my grades are really good right now." He nods and continues driving.

When we got to school him and I went our separate ways; I went to my locker then to Connies, and he went somewhere with the guys I think. I grabbed my books and binders from my locker and started walking to Connie. When I got there Julie was already there and we all walked to our first class together. "You alright Y/n? You barely have any strength, and you have no color" Julie grabs my face and I pull her hand off of me. "Stop it. I'm just a little sick but I can't miss school." The girls give each other a look but I ignore it.

At lunch I sat with the hockey team. Everyone was there except Adam and Charlie so I got up to look for them. I left the lunch room and roamed the hallways. I walked into the library and saw Charlie. "Hey, the hell you doing in here? You don't read." We both laugh "I just came with Adam, he needs a book for some class" he shrugged and we walked the aisles looking for Adam. Charlie stops and points, Adam is with a girl. She's definitely flirting with him, touching him, but he's not flirting back. But he's also not stopping her. She's probably the girl from the party a couple weeks ago. "Who is that? Do you know?" He looks at me and back at them. "I think that's Mindy's best friend. Her name is uh...I'm not sure" I nod and begin to walk over to them, Charlie following me. "Hey baby." I say kissing Adam and rubbing my hand up and down his arm, "Who's this?" Charlie smirks and shakes his head. He knows I'm being petty and jealous. "This is Ashley." Adam smiles to me and I look at him blankly. "Well, Ashley, keep your paws off my man. He doesn't want you touching all up on him." "If he had a problem with it-" "Can it troll. Come on Adam." I pull him out of the library and Charlie follows us.

"What the hell!" I yell and him and he shushes me. "What I didn't do anything. I swear!" I look at him sideways and Charlie slowly walks backwards back towards the lunch room. "She was all over you! Why didn't you push her away or tell her to stop...are you interested in her? Because if you are then-" "DONT finish that sentence. You're the girl I wanna be with. I love you more than anything. Don't you see that? I lie to my parents and teammates just to be with you!" I look down at my feet, what was I thinking? Of course he loved me and wanted to be with me. "I'm so sorry, you're totally right. But just please, don't let other girls be all over you like that. I don't like it." He pulls me into a hug, holding my head to his chest. I loved when he hugged me like this. "I promise, I won't let anything like that happen again." So smile to myself but my smiles instantly fades when a rush of sickness runs through my body. I pull out of his grip and run to the bathroom. I go into a stall and spill my guts. I felt so sick. I cleaned myself up and sat in the bathroom for the rest of lunch. I needed to see a doctor as soon as possible.

After school the girls came over and we all layed together in my bed and just talked. I told them about Adam and Ashley and how I puked earlier. "Y/n, you should really see a doctor." Julie says. "I can't. My mom isn't here to make the appointment." I shrug. Connie looks at us both. "Guys common." Jul and I look at each other confused. "What." I say to her "HELLO you're totally pregnant! Duh." I laugh at her stupidity. "I'm not pregnant" I sit there for a second, well I mean it's actually not too far fetch. I mean there definitely a chance. But I don't wanna know. "I'll go to the walk in tomorrow and let you guys know what's up." I smile and change the subject. "So Julie, have you told your parents?" She shakes her head. "No, I'm too nervous. But I will do it soon. I told the rest of the team though and everyone was super supportive." We smile to her, "Good for you" I say to her.

"You guys wanna see if the boys wanna come over?" Connie suggests and we agree. "Good because I already asked and they're on their way!" "Of course you did." I laugh and we go downstairs to see them on the porch. I had a huge window in the front of my house so, we could see them standing there trying to see into my house. They make stupid faces at us and we laugh at them. We open the door for them and of course they just start talking and going on and on. "I brought edibles!" Charlie said excitedly waving them in the air. "No thanks Conway I'll pass." I walk up to the loft area of my house and everyone follows. "Common, why not? Adam didn't want any either." He rolled his eyes. The girls and Guy held out they're hands and Charlie handed them these decent sized chocolate bar things. "Yeah I'm trying to cut down on the drug intake" he says patting Charlie's back and I laugh. He sits by me and Charlie sits on the other side of me. Connie, Julie, and Guy on the other couch.

We were all sitting there messing around, laughing and just being stupid. It was times like these that were the best. We never really had to do anything, we just wanted to hang out. We were like the characters from 'Friends'. Adam and I were Ross and Rachel, Connie and Guy were Monica and Chandler, and Charlie and Julie were Joey and Phoebe. We were as close as a group of friends could get. "LETS GO JUMP IN THE POOL!" Char yells and runs down the stairs. We all follow him running through the house to my backyard and jump into the pool without hesitation. Now, I'm not the best swimmer, and Adam knows that so when we resurfaced he made sure to hold onto me. My pool gradually got deeper. We had a diving board so the deepest part was like 10 feet I think. "I got you baby" he kissed me and I blushed so hard. He just laughed at me.

"I can't do this." I say pulling Adams arms off me. I took my clothes off so I was left in my bra and panties. Swimming with clothes on is very uncomfortable. "Dayummmm Y/n, wanna keep going-" Charlie said and Adam splashed him, "Shut the hell up Conway. She's mine." I loved when Adam got like that about me. Everyone else did the same, stripping in the pool and we swam around in our undergarments. We surprisingly swam around for a couple hours, lied on my floaties, dove off the diving board a couple times. I ordered some food from a local restaurant a while ago so I decided to get out and wait inside for the delivery man. When I got out Adam did too and we went inside my freezing house.

"Geez it's cold" he said and I threw him a towel. He pulled me to him and wrapped us both in it. Our warm wet bodies were shivering against each other. He was holding me close to his chest, and it felt amazing. The doorbell rang and I went to answer it but Adam wrapped me back in the towel. "You're not answering the door like that." He walked to the door and got our food. I stood behind him in my towel waiting for him so we could walk out together. He started walking back and I wrapped my arm in his "You're so hot when you get like that" I kissed him on his cheek and he chuckled.

We went outside to find everyone in the hot tub. "If any of you get food in my hot tub, I'm killing you." I handed them their food. Charlie and Connie got wings, Guy and Adam got a burger, and Julie and I got tacos. We were all chillin when my mother walked through the back door. "Y/n.? You here?" She says and I stand up, "M-mom?"
