Y/n Dawson is madly in love with the guy she cannot be with; Adam Banks. Her mother and his parents don't get along. Adam and her never knew why but they didn't question it. They just wanted to be together.
I got home after dropping Guy off and saw my parents sitting on the couch in silence. "Hey...guys" I say closing the door behind me. My dad comes up to my angrily and grabs me by the collar of my shirt pulling me to him harshly. "You've been with that girl!?" He yells in my face. "What have I told you boy?" I push him away, "My name is Adam not 'boy'!" I yell back and he backs off. "I don't get it. What's so wrong with me being with her?" My mom walks over to me and places her hand on my shoulder, "Her mother doesn't like us. And we can imagine the things she tells her daughter about your father and I. Plus if she's anything like her mother, she's crazy. And we don't want you getting caught up in that. You need to focus on hockey, you haven't been doing too good but we'll talk about that later." My mom kisses my forehead and takes my dad upstairs. I was left confused. 'What are they talking about' I think to myself.
Y/n's POV
As soon as I got home, I googled my dad and what came up, was crazy. He was the country's best plastic surgeon. He worked at North Memorial Hospital. I clicked on his picture just stared. I looked just like him. I was a perfect mix of both my parents.
I texted Adam to come over so I could tell him the news and he was here within minutes. "ADAM LOOK!" I shoved the laptop in his face. He grabbed it from me and looked through his pictures and his background. "Y/n, he has a family. A wife and a daughter..." I look at him worriedly and read what he was reading. There was a picture of him and his family. "She's looks like me." I touch his daughters face on the screen. "Do you think he ever thinks of me? Wonders how I'm doing or where I've been?" I ask and Adam takes the laptop from me and closes it. "You can't obsess over this. But I'm gonna support you with whatever you wanna do." He hugs and kisses me. "I have to go though. I have practice." He gets up and I walk him to the door. "Love you, bye" I say and he replies "love you too" he gets into his car and drives himself to practice.

It's been a few days and all I could think about is my dad. My mom came back that night Adam left for practice. I haven't seen him since, or really talked to him since. I haven't been talking to anyone.
I was currently at school, in geometry daydreaming. We only had a week left of school before summer and I couldn't be more excited. I hated school. But in the summer Adam usually went on trips so I'd be without my boyfriend for a couple weeks or so. "Y/n! Are you posing attention?" Mr. Curtis yells at me and I nod yes. He lets it go and goes back to teaching his lesson. I got out my phone and texted the group chat.

Y/n: Everyone go to Banksie's car after school. We're going on a little trip
Charlie🏒: SOUNDS GOOD TO ME😁
Guy🙈: Connie, Julie, and I are in. But where are we going?

Y/n: Pleaseeeee baby? And you'll see. I'm driving though
Bby❤️🔥: NO WAY. I'm not letting you touch my beautiful blue M3. Let's just take your car.
Y/n: My mom has the keys, plus I'm not the best at driving big cars like that
Guy🙈: What kind of car do you even have?
Y/n: A G
Charlie🏒: You guys are such Cake-eaters😂
Y/n: That's Adam's nickname, not mine. But yes our parents do have money but that's not the point. Adam, please let me drive, we're taking your car.
Bby❤️🔥: Fine but if you even get a SCRATCH on it, I'm killing you. And don't think I won't do it.

We all meet up at Adam's car and got in. Me and Adam in the front, while Julie, Connie, Guy, and Charlie in the back. Charlie and even Guy are pretty big so I know the girls are probably squished in the back. "Y'all ready?" I ask excitedly "Sure whatever" they all shrug causing me to roll my eyes. I begin to drive away, "how long is this gonna take??" Julie asked impatiently. "Where are we even going?" Guy cut in. I sat there and debated whether or not I was going to tell them. But I decided to. "North Memorial Hospital." Everyone but Adam looks at each other with confused faces. "It's- it's where her dad works." Adam tells them and they ambush me with questions. "HOW DID YOU FIND HIM" "WHATS HIS NAME?" "DOESN YOUR MOM KNOW?" "WHAT IF HE-" "STOP" I yell and everyone goes silent. "Stop freaking out. I need to calm myself before I meet him." I know they probably don't think it's a good idea but I don't care. I need to do this.
We got to the hospital and had no idea where to go. We waited at a desk but nobody ever came so we followed the signs that lead us to the 13th floor. We walked around aimlessly until we saw him. Jackson Avery. We locked eyes and he looked like he had just seen a ghost

We stared at each other for a moment. My friends all looked at us just...staring. He was then called by someone and disappeared into a room. "Y/n...you okay?" Connie asks putting her hand on my shoulder. I turn to them and smile, "I'm fine. Let's just leave." Adam and Julie take my hands and we all walk to the car. We got in, this time Adam was driving and Charlie was in the passengers seat while me, the girls, and Guy were in the back. "He obviously knows who you are or else he wouldn't have reacted that way." Charlie says and I see Adam clench his jaw giving Charlie a 'Say another word about it and I'll kill you' look. I didn't want to talk about it. I felt like they were right. I wasn't wanted. He didn't want me.
