23. Beach Day

Danielle.

Last nights sleep was full of nothing but snot-filled tissues and tears. I'm scared. I'm so, so scared to lose my babies. Max Ethan, Madison Jane and Megan Hope are everything to me. I can't imagine living without them, and Liam wants FULL custody. He isn't being reasonable at all. Maybe I'm not being completely reasonable either, but he can't just burst into my house and tell me he wants to be back in the kids' lives without any warning what-so-ever.

To get my mind off things, I'm taking Max and Madison to the beach today. Its not the hottest day, since it is September, but I still think it'll be fun.

I think Perrie, Zayn and Halle might tag along, as well as Niall, Mason, Eleanor, Cameron and Emily. I actually think I remember Niall mentioning that he might be bringing a girl named Holly, who has a daughter around Mason's age.

Megan is going to be staying home with Grandma and Grandpa Peazer, because she still isn't feeling too well. It's amazing that she didn't wake up last night due to Liam and my arguing.

Max still isn't happy with me for making Liam go home last night, and sending Max to his bedroom. I feel horrible. I understand that he really wants a father. But maybe someday I'll meet the right man, and my children can have a complete & happy family.

I picked up three beach towels from under the sink in the bathroom, and strung them over my arm. I carried them out of the bathroom and out to the disaster-area living room. Water-wings, water-noodles, sand-pails and shovels, water-guns and beach snacks were all over the place.

"Mum, can I bring this to the beach?" Asked Madison from behind me. I turned around to see my daughter standing in her doorframe, holding up a large pink duvet. She wore a cute little swimsuit, huge red sunglasses, blue flip-flops, a floppy beach hat and water-wings.

"What for?" I asked, squinting my eyes. "To sit on at the beach when we eat lunch," Madison replied, grinning. "That's your sleeping-blanket, which we don't want to get sandy. I packed a picnic-blanket already that we can sit on." I explained.

"Oh, okay," Said Madison, disappearing back into her room with the pink blanket dragging behind her. I turned back towards the living room. I dropped the towels onto the top of the sofa, and took a deep breath. Hopefully this will be a good day. I need a day to just chill out and relax.

"Hey Max," I said when my son walked into the room in nothing but swim-shorts. "Hi." He mumbled, walking up to the refrigerator and pulling it open. He grabbed a strawberry fruit-sauce, then closed the door. "Don't eat that near Madison," I warned when I saw the strawberry label on the snack. "I know, I know," Said Max, grabbing a spoon from the drawer and climbing up to the table.

Max loves strawberry flavored things, but it's always a risk because Madison is allergic.

My parents picked up Megan this morning, so I don't have to drop her off on the way to the beach. I'm pretty convinced that she just has the flu, which I'm very thankful for. I don't want Megan getting any more life-threatening illnesses.

My phone rang from the pocket of my dress. I slid it out, and pressed the phone to my ear. "Hello?" I asked, realizing that I hadn't checked the caller ID. "Hey Danielle, its Eleanor. I just wanted to let you know that Louis is coming to the beach along with the kids and I, so that Zayn will have someone to hang out with."

"Okay, but he does know that Niall's coming too, right?" I asked, smiling. "Louis!" Eleanor shouted. I could hear a faint "what" in the background. "Did you know that Niall is coming to the beach?" She asked. "No, but that's awesome!" Louis shouted in reply.
