The silence was almost deafening, the rapid beating of your heart and gusts of wind being the only thing that could be heard.

You stood near a wall at the back of the school, waiting for a special someone to arrive. That special someone? It is the one and only, Kumon Hyodo, the person you have been crushing on for last couple of months.

Now, why were you waiting for him? It's because you thought it's finally time to confess to him. You've been in the same class as him since your first year and only had a few interactions but that didn't stop your heart to beat for him in a certain way

You gave him obligation chocolates for valentine's day as a small sign of your feelings, and he gave you one back for white day which made you ecstatic and giddy for the rest of the day (obligation chocolate is like a platonic way of giving chocolates and white day is a month after valentine's and it's for guys to give back chocolates to girls)

"L/N-Chan? Are you here?" A voice took you out of your thoughts and hide the heart felt letter you held delicately in your hands

"A-ah, Kumon-kun, you're here" You chuckled nervously while shifting your weight from one foot to another

"Why did you want to meet me here, L/N-Chan?" Kumon took a step forward and stood next to you like it was nothing. But little did he know, your stomach was setting off fireworks and butterflies at the same time, making your face become terribly red in front of him

"Well uhm," You started hiding your face by bowing and offered the letter of confession to him. Kumon was taken a back by the gesture but still waited for you to finish whatever you were doing then

"I-I like you! And have for a while now....please accept my feelings" You closed your eyes hoping for the worst to not come at you while still being in that ninety degree angle of a bow

Kumon stood there frozen with tints of red across his face. He was suppressing a smile because of how excited he had become, taking the letter from you as well.

He opened the letter with shining eyes as he read the letter you spent so long making. He got tearful for a bit, not really expecting a heartfelt confession that day

"A-ah, you don't have to answer right now...I know it's out of the blue" You said, standing back up straight to look him right in the eyes

"W-wait! I wanna try this out and date! I can't really leave you hanging and I don't know how to feel yet...but" He clenched onto your letter, the determination in his eyes being as clear as day

"Really?!" Your eyes holding the same light as his, you couldn't help but question if this was real or not because this has to be prank

"Yeah!" He giggled making you smile widely from ear to ear. This has been the best moment from your life and you couldn't be more happier

"H-hey uh... Since we're going to try this dating thing, how about we actually go on one?" Kumon asked after a comfortable moment of smiles and laughter

"I would love to!"

"How about Saturday? If you're free that day then we can plan it out from there" He offered, shifting his eyes with another blush forming on his cheeks
