In The Ward

TANJIRO POV

"Eh? Where am I?" I woke up in some sort of hospital bed. I looked around and I find myself to be in some sort of ward with tons of other beds

'Wait....this is the butterfly estate' I facepalmed myself for not realizing it sooner
'I wonder if shinobu's here-WAIT WHERE ARE THE OTHERS'

"Uzui! Zenitsu! Inosuke! Are you guys here?" I shouted. I didn't really get a response.
"Uzui-ow!" Someone just punched the back of my head!

"Shut up! I'm right here" I look besides me and saw uzui
"Oh, thank gosh. Where are zenitsu and inosuke?"

"The blonde is currently sleeping while the boar head is just eating" uzui said
"Ah that's good to hear. And the red light district?"

"In ruins. We managed to save a couple hundred people but other than that nothing else" uzui explained

"A couple hundred?! That's way more then I expected" I shouted
"Yeah I was surprised too, and congratulations boy"

"Huh? For what?" I asked with a head tilt
"For defeating another upper moon. You might've gotten help but in all honesty you just kinda overpowered them"

"Oh yeah..... Daki and gyutaro" I whispered to myself

3RD PERSON VIEW

"I have to say you are a demon killing machine. Pretty flamboyant. And you met 4 bloodmoons in little over a month as well. I gotta say, I'm jealous"
Uzui said while looking directly at tanjiros eyes

"Hehe don't be. And besides, you'll have a chance to fight plenty more bloodmoons later on. Muzan does want me dead after all"

"Oh yeah! How did muzan look like anyway?" Uzui asked with one of his hands on his chin
"Uhm well.... he looked like he could moonwalk at any second" tanjiro said while looking at the ceiling, remembering when he first met muzan

"What? Ok what's up with you saying these weird and random things? Talk no jutsu and now moonwalk?" Uzui asked while looking at tanjiro with a 'what's wrong with you' face

"I don't know to be honest" tanjiro answered truthfully with a small smile
"Now, tell me about your panic attack" Uzui asked out of no where

"Wait what?" Tanjiro asked
"Don't play dumb kid, I saw you. You had a panic attack after looking at what remained of the red light district."

Tanjiro just stared at his lap and stayed quite
"Answer me kid" Uzui said in a demanding tone
"It was nothing" tanjiro said while looking away
"Nothing? Nothing?! You literally had a panic attack! You were whispering stuff like 'I'm sorry' and 'I failed'! You even said you deserve to rot in hell! That isn't nothing!" Uzui shouted

"I don't want to talk about it please" tanjiro simply said
"You don't have that choice"

Tanjiro still didn't say anything. Uzui has had enough

Uzui grabbed tanjiros left wrist and brought it up. Tanjiros eyes widened
"What are you-"

"You tried to kill yourself before didn't you?"
Tanjiro froze

"U-uhm... n-no, it was just a demon-"
"Don't lie kid!" Uzui interrupted

Tanjiro just couldn't say anything no matter how hard he tried(even though he wasn't planning to). Uzui just sighed

"At least tell me the reason behind your panic attack" Uzui said in a calm tone
After a couple of seconds tanjiro nodded

"I....I was just reminded of some unpleasant memories when I saw the destruction" he explained. Uzui raised an eyebrow "what type of memories?"
