Taehyung has never felt so conflicted before in his life, the moment he entered the room and watched as Jungkook embraced Y/N he felt like his heart was pulling in two totally different directions. There was a part of him that wanted to join them, that wanted to run over and embrace them both as he was so relieved they were safe but then there was another side that boiled with jealously.

The way they embraced.

The way Jungkook looked at her.

The way Y/N looked at him.

All this time Taehyung thought he and he alone shared something special with Y/N, that even though she seemed to hold Jungkook in high regard it would be him ultimately that she would come back to yet now he knows that isn't the case.

It seems Jungkook is the one she's connected to.

Taehyung is just the idiot who got infatuated.

He allowed himself to dream, to consider a future different from the one he always believed he would be destined to have.

Taehyung just wanted to be normal, he wanted to break away from the chains of the organisation and finally live the life that was stolen from him all those years ago.

He thought Y/N was the key to his chains, that she would be his chance at a normal life....a chance for him to finally be happy but he should know now that nothing ever works out for him, that the only life he is destined for ends where it began.....with the organisation.

It wasn't just Jungkook and his connection with Y/N that bothered him, it was the fact Y/N had been dishonest with him.

She said she didn't know anything about the organisation but was that the case?

Was she truly an innocent bystander in all this or was Jimin right all along. Was she working with the organisation, had she been planted there at the bar that night to lure Taehyung in?

If she's a hybrid like Jungkook, if one of her abilities is to turn back time (he's still trying to wrap his head around that one) then what's to say she doesn't have other abilities....abilities to make weak men like Taehyung fall for her without truly knowing who she is or the consequences of  what involving her could bring to not only him but his team.

Taehyung has never been so reckless, has never put those he cares about at risk before.

Not since Y/N.

So is she really his salvation or is she more likely to be his downfall.

His hearts aches, the lump in his throat bordering on painful as he watches Y/N turn her back on him and walk out of the room.

He wants to call her back, he wants to say sorry and beg for forgiveness because despite all of his doubts and concerns he still cares for her and he still wants to protect her but there's something stopping him from doing so and that something is fear.

Fear of what she truly is and the possibility that even though she might not know it yet that in time something will happen to help her remember, remember who she is and what the organisation asked of her. She could kill his team, she could kill him......or she could have nothing to do with the organisation and be speaking the truth and Taehyung has probably pushed away his only chance at the happiness he's always longed for.

What does be do? Who is he supposed to trust?

All he does know is that his heart shattered the moment he locked Y/N out of it.
