I've been at a sports company all morning, signing bats after bats, Mia has been in Vegas for more traing with Connor. I haven't seen her in weeks, my heart ached for her presence, Norm walked up as I was signing once again another bat.

Norm:"Hey you alright sugar?"

I looked up with sad eyes, he sighed and laid his hand on my shoulder,

Norm:"You'll see her again."
Me:"I know.. but I didn't expect us to be away from each other again, the first time it hurt but this time it's killing me.."
Norm:"Well, your mood will change."
Me:"Not until I see her.."

He chuckled so I sighed and went back to signing more bats,

Norm:"How many have you signed already?"
Me:"3,689 fucking bats. My hand is killing me man."
Norm:"Well maybe she can take care of your hand?"
Me:"Who?"

I noticed he was looking behind me, I laid the sharpie down and turned around seeing Mia with a huge smile plastered on her face, I jumped and opened my arms, she rushed over clinging onto me.

Me:"Goddamn I missed you!"
Mia:"I missed you too!"
Norm:"Awe!"

She instantly flipped Norm off, god I missed that so much. I finally let go of her and looked at her closely seeing she had a busted lip,

Me:"The fuck happened to you?"
Mia:"I talked Connor into a gloveless brawl, it was an accident, he felt so bad."

I smiled softly,

Me:"I thought I told you to be careful?"

She smiled and rolled her eyes,

Mia:"Careful is not in my bloodline."

I laughed and kissed her hard, Norm cleared his throat and both of us stepped back,

Norm:"Where the fuck is my love!?"

Mia laughed loudly then stepped around me hugging Norm as he kissed her cheek, her nose scrunched causing me to chuckle,

Mia:"Eww man you know I told you not to do that, now my cheek is infected with your cooties."

Norm laughed and shrugged,

Norm:"You'll get over it, I kiss everyone."
Mia:"Trust me I know."

Mia moved back next to me,

Mia:"So what have you two been up to?"
Me:"Pretty much signing shit endlessly."
Mia:"Good lord that's a shit ton of bats."
Me:"3,689 to be exact."
Mia:"Good lord."

She grabbed my hand slowly rubbing it, I smiled wide and kissed her head.

Norm:"See your wife is so caring."
Me:"That she is."

She smiled at me and kissed my hand,

Mia:"A little better?"
Me:"Much better, thank you. When did you get back?"

Mia sighed and leaned up against the table,

Mia:"For an hour now, when I found out where you was, I came straight here, would have been here sooner but traffic was a bitch today."

I smiled more,

Me:"Yea today is a bad day to be on the road."
Mia:"No kidding. How's Gussy?"
Me:"Growing each day, he's sprouted a bit since you left."
Mia:"Really? My baby is growing up on me.."

I laughed a little,

Me:"They always will. Besides I figured you would have been in Vegas a while longer?"
