I don't know why I'm here.

As far as I know, I haven't done anything wrong.

Have I?

No that can't be.

Wait, why aren't the girls here?

Crap, they're probably kicking me out of the band!

I'm actually not surprised, no one notices me and I'm less important than the girls.

"Normani?" Simon's voice shook me out if my thoughts.

"Hmm?" I hummed and looked at him and Stephen who were on the other side of the table.

He sighed. "As you might now, the attention isn't spread equally around the group."

I nodded and sighed. "And?"

"Did your fans even notice you and your boyfriend broke up?" He asked and quirked an eyebrow.

I scoffed. "Please, they didn't even know I had a boyfriend."

"Well," Stephen looked between Simon and I. "We were thinking of dividing the attention a little."

"And how are you going to do that?" I asked.

"We got you a 'partner'. A fake one, for publicity."

"Like a... Fake boyfriend?" I quirked an eyebrow.

"More or less." Simon slid a file towards me.

I picked it up to come face to face with a picture of a girl and personal info.

"'Anna Thors?" I read off the paper. "What's this?"

"She's your new girlfriend."

"What?!" I hissed at them. "I'm straight!"

"I know, I know, this just spices things up a bit. Draws more attention." Stephen explained. "Her and our management has teamed up to rise both your statuses. Then in few months, you can break up and it'll be like none of this happened."

I sighed and looked at her file again. "What does she even do?"

"She doesn't look familiar to you?" Simon asked.

I shrugged. "I guess... Kind of."

"She's a new model from Iceland. She just got signed. She has been on the covers of a few magazines recently."

"Can the girls know she's not my... Girlfriend?" I asked bitterly.

"Yes, of course. Your family can know too."

"How old is she?"

"17. Normani, read the file. It's all in there."

I rolled my eyes and quickly glanced over the file. But stopped at the first information. I squinted my eyes. "What's wrong with her name?"

"Nothing, it's just Icelandic."

"Oh..." I muttered.

Hair color: Light brown

Eye color: Blue, green

Family: Father, two older brothers, one older sister

Allergies: Fish

I looked at her picture again. She was really pretty, couldn't deny that.

Her teeth were white and straight and her eyes sparkled.

"How does this work?" I asked.

"We'll have you in a group chat or send you personal text messages about when you're supposed to interact. Like, take pictures and post them or go out on dates, kiss, stu-"

"Kiss?!" I shrieked.

"Yeah, you're supposed to be dating..."

"Right..."

"Also, we weren't able to find her an apartment so soon so when she comes to LA, she'll be staying with you for some days."

"Yeah, okay. Are we finished?" I asked and stood up.

"Yup." Simon grinned. "She'll be here in a week so be ready."

"Whatever, bye."

After the meeting with management, I walked through the door and was met with four curious faces.

"What did they say?" Ally asked.

"Apparently," I replied bitterly. "I have a girlfriend."
