SB Chapter 19: Target *

RARE'S POV

When Virgo asked me again if I want to see Key, I quickly said yes. And yes it's true na si Virgo ang kumuha sakaniya. I asked why pero sabi

niya kay Key ko daw kailangan marinig ang sagot.

I know Key is hiding something, and I know Virgo knows it, but I want to know it myself.

There are a lot of questions I want to ask to Virgo but I'm not in the mood to do that. I just want to see Key and talk to him. Virgo promised me that they won't hurt him.

I sure hope he's okay.

Virgo doesn't talk much but he's very easy to read. That's what I like most about him.

Before. Before okay?

"Where did u took him?" Tanong ko kay Virgo nang makasakay na kami sa sasakyan.

"Saint Omer in North. They went there via plane, and so does us." Explain niya lang. Walang kumibo sa amin hanggang sa marating na namin yung place kung saan nandun ang private plane ni Virgo.

When we were on board, I finally had the guts to ask Virgo how did he find me and what made him think to take Key away from me. But his respond was irrelevant, "What is he to you?"

Napaisip ako. Ano ba siya sa akin? Ano ba ako sakaniya? Ano ba kaming dalawa sa isa't isa?

"He's... he- I love him."

Sabi ko. Tiningnan ko siya nang biglang bumaling siya nang tingin sa ibang direction. "I see."

"Now answer what I asked you a while ago. Ano bang ginawa ni Key para gawin mo to sakaniya? What were you doing in Paris? Ikaw ba yung dahilan kung bakit may pasa siya? Magkakilala ba kayo?!"

"Rare." Sabi niya lang at tumingin sakin, "Ask him, not me."

"Why not?"

"Because hindi naman ako ang may kasalanan sayo dito."

That made me shut up. What he fuck does he mean by that? I know Virgo is smart and he has lots of things  he only keeps in him, but this is serious, why doesn't he tell me?

...

As soon as we landed, I already felt the very unwelcome atmosphere. The weather is cold, but Virgo made sure I got all I need to keep myself warm and comfortable. Only that is I'm not. How can I be comfortable in this situation?

A couple of men in black are there to accompany us. "Where are we going?" Tanong ko kay Virgo nang makapasok kami sa isang mansion na puro Victorian yung interior.

"To a dungeon. To see your love."

I know there was bitterness when he emphasized Love. It somehow made me mad, why did they put him in a dungeon?

The place is dark and very grayish. A very dungeon base like. Hinanap ko agad si Key and then I found him in a cell, alone.

Lumapit ako sa grills, "K-key."

My voice woke him up. When he saw me, he didnt move. He just looked at me, nagulat na lang ako nang umiwas siya nang tingin. I don't know what was that. What's wrong?

"Can I get in?" Sabi ko kay Virgo. "I need to talk to him."

Tumingin muna siya kay Key bago siya pumayag. "But we can't leave you."

I nod, "I understand." Inunlock na nila yun at pinapasok ako, I sit beside Key who's still not looking at me.

"Key, it's okay, I'm here." Aktong hahawakan ko siya sa braso nang galit na tumingin siya sakin.

"Leave! Don't come near me."

Natigilan ako. Why? What's wrong Key? "Why are you acting like that? Alam mo, ako, naguguluhan na ako sa lahat ng nangyayari ngayon. And if there's a person who can explain these all to me, it's you. Now, can you please tell me why the fuck they put you in this cell?!"

"Because I deserve this!" Bulyaw niya sakin.

Nagulat ako dun. His voice was purely rough, and the way he look at me, it seems like he meant what he said. Deserve niya to? "Why? Tell me, tell me so I can understand." Naiiyak na sabi ko. Hindi ako sanay na ganito siya sakin.

Hindi siya kumibo kaya tumayo ako sa harapan niya mismo, I offer my hand to him and I put a smile in my face as I say, "Come. Come home with me Key."

Tiningnan niya lang yung kamay ko, hanggang sa tumingin siya sakin. He shook his head. Ikinagulat ko yung sunod na nangyari, tumayo siya at niyakap ako. Mahigpit, sobrang higpit. "Rare, it's time to let go." He cupped the back of my head as he said it.

"Just tell me what's happening." Tulalang sabi ko lang hanggang sa kumiwala siya sa pagkakayakap sakin.

"I-I... Before, I was part of a private group called Prior." Umpisa niya, tinitingnan ko lng siyang magsalita. "I decided to quit my position there, but for one last time, I have to complete my job."

"Is that why you have millions in your account?" I asked.

"If you saw it, yes."

"But you said you have no money, bakit ka nagsinungaling sakin?" I remember all the things that happened on day one, and that hit me. "What's really your intention to me?"

His face is so impassive, I cant read it. "Rare."

"Why did you lie to me?!" Tulalang sabi ko.

"I was a hitman."

As soon as he said it, napatingin ako agad sakaniya. He's a what?

"You stayed with me, you made me fall in love with you, and now all along my strange bedfellow is a hitman. A hitman!"

Bullshit Key. Bullshit! I clenched my fist to his shirt, "Why did you stayed here in france, don't tell me nandito yung-"

"Yes." Tumingin siya sakin. "I have to kill somebody."

Napaatras ako nang parang may hint na ako sa lahat nang nangyayari ngayon. Virgo told me that I was safe nang kinuha nila si Key. And that leaves... "And it's..."

He looked at me intensely as he nod, "You."
