She left Union Academy after learning that the Headmasters were going to hand her over to Ironwood. Ironwood planned on weaponizing the Frenzy Virus, and turning Melody into a mindless weapon for Union's own gain.

A fierce, yet stubborn girl who fears very few things. While normally very rude, she can be calm and polite at times. She wears a Kamui and wields a massive Scissor Blade.
She left Union due to constant sexual harassment from Issei, Cardin, and Mineta. She also grew angered at Union's Headmasters for trying to prevent her from helping others without a License.
Satsuki Kiryuin

The older sister of Ryuko Matoi. She is an intelligent, calculating woman. She is prideful, but not heartless as she may appear at a first glance. Satsuki also wears a Kamui, and wields a black-bladed katana.
Satsuki was ordered by the Headmasters to hunt down Ryuko and bring her back to Union. Satsuki, however, refused, becoming a "traitor" to protect her sister.
