A Game of Chess?

A/N This oneshot will be about a chess game! I hope you will enjoy this oneshot!

Kokichi P.O.V

"Hey, Oma-kun!" Saionji-chan called out to me

"Hmm? Yes, Saionji-chan?

"You try out this new chess tournament! The reward is a lot of money!" She said smiling at me

"But, I barely know how to play chess" I told her

"Wha-"

"I'm kidding, of course that's a lie!" I said smiling at her

Suddenly, a girl with red hair came running towards us.

"What did you do to Hiyoko?!" She asked

"Well, see you Saionji-chan, looks like your over-protective girlfriend is here!" I said smiling

"I told you Mahiru isn't my girlfriend!"

"Why are you using her first name?!" I asked from a far

Saionji-chan didn't answer, she was too far away.

I eventually stopped and took a look at the flyer Saionji-chan handed me. 

Local Chess Tournament

Come play a game of chess at our local convention. If you're new to this chess competition, 

It is only hosted once a year. I you are eliminated from the competition we will be glad to 

see you next year again! Please sign your name on the back of this flyer if you're interested 

in entering the competition! Then turn it in at the convention. It starts on 7/23/2021!

I decided to give this tournament a chance. Since, Saionji-chan seemed excited to tell me about it. To be honest, I really didn't want to do it. But. . .I didn't really have a choice. Oh well, I guess that's what happens when you have a friend that overwhelms you when they show you something.

Shuichi P.O.V

"Are you going to sign up for this year's chess tournament, Saihara-kun?" Yumeno-chan asked

". . .Yeah sure I guess, I don't really know." I said

"Nyeh!? What do you mean you don't know?" Yumeno-chan asked in surprise

"I too, am surprised with your response , Saihara-kun" Tojo-san said

"R-Really? Um, well, I just haven't been interested in participating again, the last champion that lost to me didn't show up last year, and they told me they had a passion for chess. I didn't want to ruin their passion. so maybe if I quite, they will show p again."

Tojo-san and Yumeno-san just stared at me.

"You shouldn't let people get to you so easily, Saihara-kun" Tojo-san said

"Yeah, you shouldn't. I also think you should sign up for this year's chess tournament!" Yumeno-chan said to me in a joyful tone.

"I agree" Tojo-san said

"I don't really know. I'll think about it" I said to them
