"Bunny!" Lan Zhan hopped and skipped around the living room, clapping his pudgy hands together. A rabbit followed him around the blue-glass coffee table. It was like a little kiddie parade; all Lan Zhan needed was baton and some glitter. Maybe a few more bunnies, too.
"...A-Jue," Lan XiChen grit out, his arms crossed over his chest and a stern foot tapping.
Nie MingJue lay his chin upon XiChen's shoulder, wrapping him up in a big bear hug from behind. He hummed sweetly, "Yes, honey bunch?"
"When you said you would bring A-Zhan bunnies, I pictured toys, plushies, cupcakes... not a real life rabbit."
On cue, Lan Zhan stumbled towards them holding up the floppy-eared rabbit, fluff and fat bunched around its neck. Lan Zhan grinned like a grand piano with his missing teeth.
"Dada look! She's so fat!"
"Ah ha, yes, the fattest..."
Lan Zhan ran off again.
"Nie MingJue," Lan XiChen muttered. "I love you, but I'm going to kill you."
MingJue twirled him around by his hips, staring down at his boyfriend's smooth, jade face.
"But bunnies are his hyper-fixation."
"Someone's been studying."
"Of course. I'll admit, I was scared when you told me he had autism. I worried I wouldn't be good enough for him. I've never known anyone like him."
